I have a new toy on the way. Originally I wanted a S and W 586 (black version of the 686) and since it took forever to mail out the weapon, I did some searching and found another S and W .357. I didn't even know this weapon existed. It's a S and W model 627 revolver with 8 round capacity.
So I told the supplier to put the 586 back and post the money against the new 627.

Now using the same exact ammo, same distance, same type of target, same shooter, the winner in a big way is the........................... ...Smith and Wesson. It wasn't even close, and I'm nowhere near being brand loyal. For the record, I got the same type of results with the Colt Anaconda vs. the Smith and Wesson model 29, both .44 magnum. Colt Anaconda is a beautiful weapon, but the Smith is far more accurate.
