Oralist, you'd be better off research facts not faulty memory. Houston bust had zero to do with the aspd.net demise in 2009, although that was the week after the site owner died. The site had already been severely crippled by a proper lack of maintenance by owner/management for several years and by several hack attacks dating back to 2005.

As for complaints/observations about "whales" and "creepazoids" I cannot attest to those observations bearing any resemblance to events in Austin, San Antonio, and elsewhere, including several events I have attended over the years in parts as diverse as NYC, San Diego, Atlanta, among others hosted by locals there. Coolaid may well be accurate in his limited observations. So sad those events he's been privy to weren't up to his standards.

If those organizers were such fuckwads, then the resulting impressions attach to a decision to attend made without benefit of proper research, imo. j/s
