Anyone watch HBO True Detective?

We can do that! I'll cook.
I'll bring the wife!!
Uhhh...wait...
I just can't believe it took this fucking long for the show to get good. This last episode better be a humdinger!!!
Well the first season didn't really have much action til the very end either when Cohle went back undercover and that excellently filmed, continuously shot scene in the Houston projects made tv history.

I bet the finale is gonna kickass. Any one wanna make any predictions on who dies?

I'm liking the idea of a watch party more and more. Pro I bet your SO is pretty cool. You can bring her. Lol. I'll bring the liquor. Hahaha.
I think they all die except Rachel McAdams...she'll decide being Provider is a good thing and say fuck the cop shit...her ole man decides to say fuck the transcendental shit, too, and pimps her and her sister. New series next time:True Hookers.

How's that for a cool ending? You heard it here first, folks...

It does help to be a huge Vince Vaughn fan, especially when he steps out of his pure-comedy shoes (although I like most of his funny stuff a lot). And Rachel McAdams playing something other than a sweet, innocent type--yeah, makes me want to bang her even more!!!

To Prolongus' prediction: I have no inside knowledge, so this is just a gut feeling. But I think most everyone dies except either Frank (Vaughn) and his wife or just his wife. The way he went scorched earth in the last episode as retaliation for being double-crossed, I can see an ending where he continues to put everyone that screwed him over in their place and makes his way to South America with the wife and a boatload of money. Alternately, in light of how they have portrayed the wife as a bit meek and submissive to him, I could see Frank dying and she makes it out of the country with all the money as the last one standing, maybe after some double-crossing of her own.

But there will be plenty of red herrings to make things interesting before the final scene plays out next week. I also think there will be something entirely unexpected play out with Bezzerides' (McAdams) Dad (David Morse) and Velcoro's (Ferrell) red headed kid. Both of those subplots have been toeing the sidelines all season and at least one of them becomes a bigger part in all of this than any of us saw coming. Again, just a hunch. Can't wait!
I really like Frank's wife. She's a good woman. I hope she makes it out alive but given the dismal reality the show sticks to, I think she's a goner.

What do they always say, watch out for the quiet ones?
Excellent point. I don't see them deviating from the character development though. They make such a fantastic effort at humanizing the characters (often times sacrificing the actual plot) that I can't see her pulling a switch at the last minute. But you may be right. Maybe that will tie back into the stain on the ceiling of his former pristine home??? Hmmmm.....
And...........the ladies win....
Glad Rachel wasn't snuffed. Maybe she'll be in a future series...
I haven't watched it yet. Too much to do last night and today. Hopefully tonight.

I was disappointed by the ending. The season was pretty decent, but what Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson did last year was always going to be hard to live up to. The format was different by not having the past/present dynamic. This season had a few too many moving parts.
