What I don't understand is why people even bother asking the question. Since there are plenty of great providers at every price point and with every desirable attribute who see just about anyone does it really matter why some providers rule out some sub-group? The endless psychoanalysis is just a pointless waste of time.
There are plenty of hobbyists who will not see providers with (or without) any one of a whole range of characteristics too. No one asks why because it does not matter why. It is a free market, people can make any darn choices they want and life just relentlessly moves on.

RC - while I was banned, I read your postings in this thread. I felt they were very intelligent and well measured in light of the fact that this issue is likely one that you must run across quite often. It has certainly been peppered across the board several times, and so long as there are women (or "management") who feel it makes financial sense to lock out one section of the populace or the other, it will continue to make the front page.

When I returned a few months ago, I had a beloved former client ask me if I was NBA. I had no idea what he meant. I answered him honestly, after he explained, not even thinking that he would use my answer as an excuse not to see me; I screen for intellect and class rather than skin color. He never booked with me again, which gave me several sads on several levels... This is someone who I once saw on a quite frequent basis and considered a valuable friend, and never once thought he would harbor the sort of issues that this thread and its ilk reference. He certainly didn't need to feel self conscious down below.

The irony, of course, is that even though I am not NBA, I have not seen many black men as a provider. By not many, I would say maybe three or four in thirteen years. If I had to guess why, I would probably assume price, difficulty in booking, desire for longer dates over quickies, service level provided, class, and intellect have something to do with the decision making process for or against me. I'm not weeping openly in my Cheerios over this; I would rather see people who are completely comfortable spending their time and money with me, regardless of race. If someone tosses enough geeky references out there, I'm going to be excited no matter what they look like. I'm equally excited by Carlton as I am by Sheldon. Flava Flav, not so much. As long as we're going down the class route, Darrell from Storage Wars is in the Flava Flav echelon of classless, ignorant white people who I wouldn't fuck. It has nothing to do with money, as he is well off enough to pass most gals' requirements; I just don't want to spend time around anyone who makes me want to physically throw them outside of my condo with every word that comes out of their mouth.

Regardless of my own leanings, I wanted to give you a pat on the shoulder here. I'm sorry you have been, and will continue to be, surrounded by ignorance on all sides. Here, I can't do much, but I can give you a ponie. As an added bonus, she's relevant on multiple levels!

But, this is true. White-skinned people evolved from Blacks. As humans migrated to cooler climates, they spent less time in direct sunlight therefore requiring less melanin in their skin to protect from the sun's harmful rays. Also, there was less of a requirement for curly, matted hair to protect from the sun and to cool the head. The development of white skin and straighter hair was in response to the cooler/colder environment. As humans migrated to yet colder environments (ie: what is now Mongolia) they developed the characteristic epicanthic fold to protect the eyes from the glare of snowfall.

Either that, or it was the Koalas.
