The only reason I've ever turned down a verifiable client is their attitude either via message or on the phone. I don't automatically turn someone down based on their board persona.. because some of my ATF's have been gents that many find to be "assholes". But, if they are just as rude and abrasive via PM, we aren't going to have a good time and I always decline.

I don't care if you are 25 or 85. I don't care if you weigh in at 150 or 450. I don't care if you are white, black, hispanic, Asian, Indian, or Middle Eastern. I don't care if you are blind, deaf, in a wheelchair, have a stoma... those are all things that don't affect my perception. What I do care about is whether or not you have a sense of humor, whether or not you have manners, and whether or not I feel we could get along. I can see past just about anything that a person might find "negative" as long as I can find that one good quality.

Are there some people that I turn down? Absolutely. I always go with my gut instinct on people and it seldom lets me down. I always focus on the personality.. because if that clicks, chances are good that you'll always have a great session. My preference is always to avoid a situation where we just won't have a good time.. because that's not good for my reputation and its not fair to your wallet. Originally Posted by GracePreston

its interesting that you never see a no white man policy. Why is that? I met a provider once that told me her white clients threatened her not to see black men specifically. I'm sure thats not just a random case.

Now I will say-- in my decade of time on and off.. I've NEVER had a client threaten my business because of who I will or won't see. Guess they know I'd just laugh at them.

i think for me its just annoying that I have less options just because of my skin color. Every girl that has ever seen me always wants me back. I get it that the highest bidder usually wins, but its a free market. You should be able to bargain and capture "market share" below your arbitrary self worth without being looked down upon. I think that mentality / the unwritten rules need to change. Its pretty obvious that, because of historical reason, black guys, in general, have less resources than white guys.
