Providers that ARE NOT reference friendly

Exactly and that is only the legal aspect of things. Let's not forget about the rapists, robbers, pimps, and general psychos.

What prompted me to make this thread was me asking a lady (and I use that loosely) for a ref and she basically told me to go fuck myself and do my own research but she said it in a ghetto ugly ratchet girl way.

Maybe she thinks that her manager/pimp/SO/Bodyguard will bail her out of everything mentioned

Like i mentioned it's not required but it is helpful if these providers would simply put it somewhere on their profile and also let their clients know not to use them as a reference.

They won't do that since the newbie hobbyists need those refs but, what you can do is put her handle out there so hobbyists know which providers don't give refs. (good or bad refs) or not willing to communicate or works with other providers to help them stay safe. infoshare, verifyhim, and P411 are nice tools to have but, nothing beats talking to another provider or providers that has had a session with him. Then, there is a TRUST factor that the provider giving the ref is telling the truth. It's a double-edge sword. Thats why i say: call more than 1 provider. Originally Posted by Jules Jaguar

Interest of fairness in regards to the value of references...

Scenario 1-- I have been arrested once during my tenure in this profession. Fortunately, I had the brass balls to fight the charge and win a dismissal, avoiding getting a criminal record. But how did I get arrested? I got a reference from a well known (at the time) provider. That's how. She literally helped set me up.

Scenario 2-- I have been assaulted once in my tenure. It happened at the hands of a long time regular of mine who I had probably given 25+ references for over the course of the 3 years I knew him.

References alone aren't always enough. I'm a full believer in giving references whenever I'm asked, because I think it is an important tool in the toolbox.. but it is not the only one.

The real problem is that to all the rental Cinderellas out there we all look like Ben Franklin and unless we have a gimmick like farting on command, or smelled really bad or were egregious assholes, we aren't very memorable. I mean it's like the cops walking into Luby's with a picture of an old white guy and asking the Jell-O lady if he ate there two months ago. If you haven't got something that sticks out like John Holmes in a convent your fond memory quotient erodes rapidly over a short period of time. Which has it's benefits because if you really stepped on your dick in a forum pissing match with a provider back in the ASPD days it's long gone...Hell, I don't remember where I bought gas last time...

You do have the right to be haters and not give out references, I don't get it but it's your right.

If you are one of these girls why don't you put it on your profile and in each and every one of your ads and let your clients know this BEFORE they book with you. Guys see girls (especially newbie friendly ones) to gain references to see OTHER girls.

It would save all (CLIENTS AND PROVIDERS) of us a bunch of time if you did.

My issue is that after seeing a provider who does give references, would she even remember me after a week or a month or 3 months?

Perhaps you providers can answer this but after a while.... don't all the clients you see become a blur? Tough to differentiate?

I personally like to save handles with phone numbers....saving a number under Bob or How does no good when the name is fake anyways.

I even have one guy saved as "my Bearded man" which obviously isn't his name or handle but certainly helps me remember him in some way.

I also keep almost every PM that I can....to reference back to when I have to...but basically if you're saved in my phone that means I've met you BCD.

Well today I had another provider more or less tell me to do my own fucking reference check... like I thought that was what the hell i was doing by asking you? Idk it was strange.

No I'm not going to name names (sorry drama kings)... they know who they are and i do let the guys know when ladies don't respond, get bitchy, have amnesia, or have ignored me in the past. Naming them would just cause drama and fighting which I think there is enough of that going on here right now.

I usually try not to ask a provider to be a reference for me until I have seen her two or three times. Build up some sort of history so that she would remember me should someone else reach out to her. It has worked so far in the past for me. Plus I will usually schedule an other meeting with the reference provider as a thank you.
