We from Rochester, NY -- in the days of yore before the AFC's conception and prior to the establishment of the old "American" Football League -- for us, there were only 2 "local" teams: the Giants and the Browns.

After the NFL finally called a truce and merged with the upstart AFL in 1970, the former NFL Browns were re-assigned to the newly born AFC.)

So, around here, many people still have a soft spot for the Cleveland Browns.

Also, a few future hall of famers from SU went to Cleveland, so there’s that bond to the Browns from back in those days. Boy, does that bring back memories.
