I too was there from about 1999-2000 until closing under an assumed identity (different handle). I always got along well with Dagwood (RIP), but another mod I encountered was clearly corrupt and caused me embarrassment/grief with a provider by providing privileged information to her so that he could "make points" with her. I reported it to Dagwood, who was a mod at that time, buy never got feedback nor did I ask, as to any penalties to that mod.

I was involved with ASPD before it opened for general use. I didn't live in TX at the time, but the late "Busty Girl" Amber reached out to me. She was being threatened by some folks who viewed her as a competitor and asked for help. "Hobbyist" web sites then were quite corrupt and cut-throat when it came to competition. I was glad I could help her get past some of those threats. I had an account after that, but not being in the area didn't use it much. (And it was under a different name obviously.)

By the way, some have mentioned the newsgroup ASPD. Naming the board ASPD was a sort of misunderstanding on Amber's part, but by the time I had a chance to mention it to her she was already committed to the name. On usenet different discussion groups were organized into a naming hierarchy. The most popular "hobby" news group was called alt.sex.prostitution which people would shorten to a.s.p when they would write about it. But then there was alt.sex.prostitution.discussio n, aka a.s.p.d. That group *wasn't* for the kind of hobbyist topics you find here, it was specifically for meta-discussion about the management of a.s.p. But Amber took the "discussion" part to mean the place where hobbyists would discuss things. A mistake on her part that found its way into the name ASPD.

The old news groups.
I remember the ones you mentioned.
Surprised I didn't click to the acronym.
Me, yeah I loved KosherCowboy's posts. TIffany was my first hobby experience.

I miss those days.

I joined in 2005 or so in Houston. ASPD was a true public service for non-civilians. Wish I could find it on the Wayback Machine.
Whatever happened to Kosher Kowboy? Does he still post here?
