Wow! I miss the NFL and the Cowboys the way it was.At 1:53:30 has to be one of the biggest pass plays in Cowboys history. Aikman to Alvin Harper for 80 yards to the SF 9 yard line. That play propelled the Cowboys to their first Super Bowl under Jimmy Johnson. The late great Pat Summeral was calling the play.

The commissioner of the NFL has zero to do with the NFL Hall of Fame. Nothing. Both operate autonomously from one another; check it out.It seems like some of the local media and NFL talking heads on the radio and TV fall all over themselves like this guy is the best thing to ever happen to the NFL. The NFL was doing very very well before he bought the Cowboys. I know why, it's political correctness just like we have in DC. They are afraid to rock the boat because it may effect their job. Cowardly.
The Selection Team for the NFL HOF is composed of 48 elite members:
32 journalists representing each city / franchise currently in the NFL....15 At Large members (ie: Dan Foust, CBS...Peter King, SI to name a few)...and 1 member listed with the PFWA.
Goodell could politic behind BCD all he wants, should he choose to put himself out there. But this is where the journalists and sportswriters of the country have the power to say Yay or Nay. Originally Posted by Chateau Becot

All these "great things" he has done for the league have only benefited the pocket books of Goodell and the owners.
Why hasn't Jerry, the unofficial savior of the NFL, done everything he could to keep the Oakland Raiders in Oakland? With SF building their new stadium an hour + drive south of SF the Raiders had the whole bay area to themselves. They have been down for along time but the Raiders are still one of the Flagship teams in the league. They are one of the teams fans would love to be good again.
