Suspect Arrested in Connection with Devastating LA Wildfire

Jonathan Rinderknecht, the man accused of sparking the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles earlier this year, was arrested Tuesday.

Rinderknecht, now living in Melbourne, Florida, was charged with destruction of property by means of fire, according to a Wednesday news release published by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in California.

“The complaint alleges that a single person’s recklessness caused one of the worst fires Los Angeles has ever seen, resulting in death and widespread destruction in Pacific Palisades,” said Bill Essayli, acting U.S. attorney. “While we cannot bring back what victims lost, we hope this criminal case brings some measure of justice to those affected by this horrific tragedy.”

...It all began on New Year’s Eve, 2024, when Rinderknecht was working as an Uber driver.

Two separate passengers noticed something was off about him that night; they later told police he appeared angry and agitated.

After dropping off a customer in the Pacific Palisades, where he used to live, Rinderknecht drove to Skull Rock Trailhead.

He hiked up the trail, and while on a hilltop, took some video and listened to a rap song, the same one he’d been playing for days, according to the news release.

The song’s music video reportedly featured content about things being set on fire...

MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace looked into a camera today, and with a straight face, claimed that no Democrats have compared President Trump to Hitler.

Not only have they compared Trump to Hitler repeatedly, they’ve done it on Wallace’s own show.

This is the type of obvious gaslighting and outright lying that has caused millions of Americans to lose trust in the media. Everyone knows this is a lie, yet she just tells viewers not to believe their own eyes and ears.

The Wrap reports:

JB Pritzker insisted that he has never compared Donald Trump to Hitler – one week after he compared the United States’ use of ICE and border patrol agents to Nazi Germany.

“I haven’t suggested that Donald Trump is Hitler,” the Illinois Governor said while talking with Nicolle Wallace on “The Best People” podcast.

Wallace chimed in: “I don’t think any Democrat has. I think it’s a smear that they project back onto critics. JD Vance called Donald Trump cultural heroin, he called him America’s Hitler. The attacks on Donald Trump as a fascist came from three-star generals who worked for him.”

Just last week, while speaking at The Economic Club of Chicago, Pritzker drew parallels between Trump’s leveraging of ICE and the border patrol against illegal immigrants to the Nazi’s attacks on Jews.

“This is how authoritarian regimes do it,” Pritzker said. “They create these kind of fake ideas that there’s an enemy out there and it could be sitting next to you at one of these tables. So just somebody sitting at your table that you don’t like might be one of those enemies. So let’s round them up, let’s make sure they are the subjects of the laws that we’re passing, because we don’t like who they are. That is what authoritarian regimes do.”

Tim Davie has resigned as the director general of the BBC following criticism that a Panorama documentary misled viewers by editing a speech by US President Donald Trump.

Deborah Turness, the corporation's head of News, has also stepped down from her role over the issue.

Davie had held the top job for five years, but had recently faced increasing pressure over a series of missteps and allegations of bias.

The Telegraph published details of a leaked internal BBC memo on Monday that suggested the Panorama programme edited two parts of Trump's speech together so he appeared to explicitly encourage the Capitol Hill riots of January 2021...
