Women's Rights on Trial Today

Except i1n1 3 years with a Republican the SC will be upholding a1 1National ban on abortion.

If you think these silly fucks want to let the States decide, you're nuts. They want the states that want to ban abortion to decide and then they want the Federal government to ban it in the rest of the states. Originally Posted by WTF

son, you've spent a lifetime learning everything you believe. the problem is .. everything you believe is wrong.

Oh I do, always, but they aren't perfect and if you're "above average" there is a danger of tearing. I always bring my own that fit, but not all providers are open to using something they didn't buy themselves and I respect that. I always leave it to their choice, it's up to them if they want to use what I brought or theirs. Most high end appreciate the consideration. But then there's little danger in getting a handy in an AMP so you're probably good. Originally Posted by 69in2it69

I’m not seeing what the freakout is for. People of a state vote for people to represent them, knowing well what their views are, especially on abortion. Those representatives reflect the views of their constituents with their votes on issues, like abortion. If enough people vote in representatives that are for/against an issue, like abortion, they pass laws that coincide with the views of their constituents.

That’s what happened with todays ruling, the people will decide how it’s handled in their state through their elected representatives.

It almost sounds like…….democracy. (Actually a representative republic but I don’t think 80% of the populace knows what that is or that it’s our system of government).

Headline!!!!

Jan.6th. committee set aside hearings and call for insurrection over abortion ruling!

While on the surface, Dem's could get a little bump in purple states but I doubt it will be enough to keep them from losing the House and Senate over economic issues and the "cultural issues" that I believe are driving the Hispanic backlash to the Democratic party with all this forcing "trans crap" down the throats of voters.

The Dem's love to talk about what "might happen" down the road. Well, let me tell you what else might happen down the road if the Democrats stay on this road and it has already happened once that we know of. An elementary school child was charged with, ( by the school, not law enforcement, yet ), sexual harassment for failing to call another child by the pronoun that they prefer.

Now apply that to the over all work force in America and how much "disruption" do you think that might cause?

I see Democrats losing what little advantage may come of this when they start acting like insurrectionist, burning, looting and assaulting.

I saw one very young girl, teenager, jumping up and down at a rally saying she was very exciting at the prospect of killing people who disagree with this decision.

The population overwhelmingly supports safe legal abortion.

A handful of legislators don’t.

Why not put it on the ballot? ANYWHERE.

It’s on the ballot everywhere. People are well aware of the positions of the people they elect, they shouldn’t be voting if they’re not.

Looks like a lot of Texans will be going across state lines to New Mexico now.

A little more of a hassle, but the desired result will be the same. It would have been a lot easier for me to just go to the clinic in downtown Dallas, but what's wrong with a little road trip if/when necessary?

The irony just keeps getting funnier and funnier.

Maxine "Proud Boy" Waters just said "the hell with the Supreme Court, just ignore them". Ring any bells, sound familiar? Ignoring the courts is exactly what the Proud Boys did.

Now the left who didn't like the results of a SC decision are calling for an insurrection.

This would be so funny if it weren't so sad, the ignorance of America on display for all the world to see

I didn't want to get into this because I know there will be many stupid, uninformed opinions being put out as facts. I was correct.

Democracy: Given that we are a republic and not a democracy that should end the discussion, but it doesn't. What the SCOTUS did today was turning the decision back over to the democracy. Instead of a star chamber of nine unelected men and women, the states now get to decide. You should be happy for democracy.

Men don't have a say: Seven white men decided this decision back in 1973. Today, you had black, white, and female justices decide this decision. what are you complaining about?

Trump again: Another promise kept. He said it and he did it.

Women's rights: Should be a question mark instead of a colon. Abortion is still available, it is still legal in most states, and with the exception of Alaska, a woman is only about three hours away from another state where they can get one. And what about the rights of the unborn woman in the womb. I know the left is trying to replace women in sports but to disregard women in the womb? By the way, recent decisions have struck back against men parading around as "women" in sports. Just not a good week for the left is it?

Violence: So, when can we expect the mass round ups of criminals on the left? Or do we have two justice systems, one for the right and one for the left. We're talking about 50% of the population. The only people proposing to be violent is the left. If this decision had gone the other way as a couple of justices bowed to fear, what would have the pro-life movement had done this weekend? Have a mass prayer session? Anyone, ANYONE who demands, proposes, commits, or attempts violence should be arrested and this included elected officials.
