I had her personal information and license. I found the car and now have it. It was totally lucky on my part as I found out where she was the night before so I was trying to go by but I went to the wrong place and there it was parked right at the front door under the cover like she had just arrived and unloading except the front desk said it had been there all day. Yes it has damage. I'm exhausted and going home to get some sleep. She told me she would be having her Lawyer call me in a few minutes. Still waiting on that one but maybe she has to blow him first.

Just to help ameripro's feelings, I didn't do this once, I did it twice. This was with a civilian girl friend of my daughter who was trying to make it through nursing school. The first car I gave her so she could make payments was like a 1999 Mitsubishi and she was supposed to pay $1,200. After two or three payments the only phone calls I got was when the car broke down. Got notices in the mail when tolls and parking fees weren't paid.

This car crapped out and I put in $2K on another but was smart enough to list me as the lienholder on the new one. To date, no payments. But she can't do anything with the car without me signing off if she trades it in sometime. (Plus, no liability.)

Was kinda hoping the cash would be paid back "in kind" but no such luck now that she has a boyfriend. Also, she once said "you've been more of a father to me than my real dad".

So ameripro, are you ready to be the father figure?
