Daphne Boogie Nights is my best friend and mine ATF, like the Color Purple I know this movie verbatim! Its hilarious how these people all caught up in this world and unaware how ridiculous they are. The scene where Dirk and Reed are laying down the track for "You got the Touch",priceless, lmao!!! I have the soundtrack and its actually on there. Welcome to the Dollhouse is classic too. I forgot my favorite Wes Anderson movie,Rushmore with Jason Scwartzman and Bill Murray! Id watch Bill Murray recite the yellow pages, lol he makes the movie! I watched Jackie Brown a few nights ago,I love that shit hands down one of the best soundtracks of all time and Sam Jacksons' role is hilarious and a little psycho at the same time. Girlie we should do a movie night soon we like the same stuff.

I always liked samuel jackson. Most all of his movies are good.

What about sports movies, any favorites among you ladies?

I really liked Glory Road, Miracle, Rudy and Coach Carter another Sam Jackson movie there
yep Mila, movie night it is. I have a thing for Spike Lee movies. His thought and POV is so abstract, yet translatable to our lives. So in this first set, its about Samuel L.'s bad ass, and Spike Lee, the prophet.

School Daze as Leeds (couldn't find a pic for him)

Do the Right Thing as Mister Senor Daddy Love

Mo Better Blues as Madlock (no singular pic for him here either, but he beat Denzel's ass in that back alley)

Jungle Fever as Gator Purify

I saw this movie in a hotel several years ago with my dad and it sorta grew on me

You know, that wasn't just a myth of the movie, you really can kill someone with that plant, the oleander.

LD its crazy my BFF and I were just talkin about School Daze swear to GOD! We were saying why hasnt someone turned it into a stageplay already(Id soo go see it!) "Is it true what they say about Miiiisssion Men,lmao! My two best friends and I settled we are going to be The Rays for Halloween and Im Jane so I get the tacky blond hair and contacts I feel the same way I have yet to see a Spike Lee movie I didnt like. Crooklyn is my favorite though next to School Daze. Have you seen If God is Willing and Da Creek Dont Rise(the sequel to When the Levees Broke). He is master of an informed documentary,I cried my head off but it was so good.

Mila, I recently watched all 4 of them in a row on demand. That was heartbreaking. And to think those are our people and not some third world country. Our goverment should be ashamed. 5 yrs later and not much at all done to rectify. I was however impressed by the "Hurricane Proof" houses that Brad Pitt's organization built.

Besides his incomparable sexiness and Hottie status he is a real live genuine humanitarian and not just for the cameras. I was so impressed that not one iota is government funded,he is actually going to vendors and architect himself. Dont get me started on Katrina and the Bush administration, sheesh what a pack of self loathing idiots. Did you see The fema Director Micheal Brown when he said Bush had the nerve to utter "heck of a job Brownie" and you see him wincing as it was said, priceless. Before you conservatives slam me I don't engage in political discussion on this board so save it!
Come on now...Ole "Brownie" did a hell of job....LOL

The white guy with the flag that was ranting and everything he said started with the letter 'B' was awesome. Sean Penn also made me proud. And he's a dead ringer for my older brother..........they could be twins............
