I'll give credit where credit is due and concede that i don't care to study his methodology enough to break down the accuracy, so i'll take him at his word.

BUT, and this is a big BUT, his methodology seems to suggest, rather strongly, that the numbers are impacted as much by the sort of firearm used as it is by who stops the shooter.

Several of the civilian "stops" were carried out by people without firearms. Make someone reload after getting off 5 or 6 shots and there's a better chance he'll be stopped before he can kill 20 kids.

The lower figures are that if a good guy or gal there with a gun also willing to take the risk just happen to be there. well that will be faster than call 911, 911 hit the radio, officers traveling there etc.

why would any one want talk about the rights of the mentally ill when you can blame a gun and or the clip for the gun.
