Covid delayed the start, then the writer’s strike caused another delay after season 1. There was concern that the revised timeline would have Diego Luna (Andor) in his 50s by the time they filmed the final season. Since he has to survive to go on to be the swashbuckling young hero of Rogue One, they couldn’t have him be like Roger Moore at the end of his run as James Bond. So they came up with the idea to condense four seasons into 4 3-episode arcs.

I think they could have found a way to condense it without rushing the thing. Perhaps condense 4 seasons into 2, or perhaps into one extended split season as several excellent series have done.

I hope the remaining episodes don’t feel as rushed as episode six. This has been such an interesting and refreshing departure from other efforts in the Disney-era Star Wars franchise that it would be a shame if it ended up as disappointing as so many of those other projects have been.

That mother on Andor is annoying and fucking rude.

If I were dating a woman and that was her mother, I would run and run fast and far.

I said already. There is no reason to go to the cinema.

This dropped today, only 25 days after it had a theatrical wide release.

I just finished The Righteous Gemstones and will probably have most of of my TV time eaten up by the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the next few weeks

Also finished the Gemstones, and another of Danny McBride's old series, Vice Principles. Now catching up on S02 of Westworld along with starting over with South Park season 01

Vice Principals didn't hold my attention so much, though I should probably revisit at some point. I think anything was going to be a bit of a letdown after Eastbound and Down. Gemstones was amazing, especially having grown up in a religious setting lol

In the middle of The Eternaut on Netflix...really cool post-apocalyptic sci-fi series based on a 1950's Argentinian graphic novel. Shades of Fallout & The Last of Us.

Ran across a Movie on Netflix called Paul. Seth Rogan is the voice of n CGI Alien named Paul. It came out in 2011 but I definitely would have bought a ticket to watch Rogan play a pot smoking Alien. Had a strong cast playing bit roles in the movie. Decent little flick.

Episode 8 made me a fan again. Tremendous tension building to what everyone who has watched this show knew was coming. The pacing was perfect. I’m glad they didn’t take any shortcuts here.

Episode 9 was probably another compromise, but it was a good ender for this penultimate set of three. I’m looking forward to the finale this week.

She did play the same character in 2005’s Revenge of the Sith.

Episode numbers for Star Wars movies can be confusing. Remember that the original trilogy was episodes IV-VI. Episode III (Revenge of the Sith) was actually the sixth theatrical release.
