As to your point, enough Republicans, maybe a majority, would vote with Democrats if Trump were to try to throw the 2024 election to the House without good reason. The only good reason I can think of would be if a third party makes it where no candidate gets a majority of electoral votes.

so a do nothing congress is better than a congress who's job is to pass legislation, whether to increase, decrease, or eliminate spending via legislature and discussions is a preference? Buying time seems to be an expensive way to legislate for the MAGA Mind cult.

Imagine how proud the GOP can be when they go back to their constituents, and crow about how they got nothing done, passed no laws, and participated in a process, by not playing....

they Took their ball and went home.

Winning by default in the minds of conservatives I guess- but hardly a reason to be re-elected back for 2-6 more nothing years! Geezus- tap -dancing christ.

Our national debt and our budget deficits are a huge problem, probably the biggest problem facing the nation.

Republicans are almost as bad as Democrats when you put them in power in the presidency and both Houses.

That's why esteemed board member, Democrat, and deficit hawk WTF preferred split government. The bastards in Washington don't spend as much when the parties have to share control.

So yes Yssup, the Democrats may very well take control of the House in 2024, due in no small part to partisan gerrymandering. Originally Posted by Tiny

Remember a *kid* on this site exclaiming that the demmies couldn't legislate. He sure is quiet about the current House and the monkeys running it. Originally Posted by Precious_b
