I've always pronounced it as "ekkie"

Most of the hobbyists I know pronounce it the same. It's the providers that have varying pronunciations of it. I've heard a few say "icky", others says "eeesy or EC". So, when I'm around them I just refer to it as "the board"

I pronounce it 'E-Key'.

Ecky. That is how I have always pronounced it!

E-C

your best bet is spelling it out, you would be surprised how many providers i have met who have never heard of it at all. some parts of the country do not have a big eccie market

Well, I think ecky or E-C are the likely winners. I'll have to do a spreadsheet and graph it to be sure ;-)

I might just go with "Escort Client Community Exchange" for political correctness but the likes of anyone knowing what I'm referring to is a gamble :-)

I've always thought it was saying the letters S-C.
So, if one was to say eccie to someone, how do you pronounce it? Say the letters, as a word, and what does it stand for.....I've never known?? Originally Posted by python54

Don't say "Es Say" around any of my Latino friends or they get a bit angry! lol

I think I'll just make a card for my wallet with a huge ECCIE logo and I can just flash the card and forget about pronunciations
That's how I thought of it. Alternatively, I was once cuddled up with a Cajun-speaking lady who said "eeeeee - see." And somehow, I was not much inclined to argue. Pretty much whatever she said, my response was "yes." Originally Posted by James1588
