I wonder what the percentage of is of people who have served, actually have been shot at.

The veterans who run for office are probably not the ones who were on the ground risking their lives.

Well, there was George Bush, Sr., John F. Kennedy, John McCain, John F. Kerry, Robert Dole, Bob Kerrey, and probably others I've missed. I guess it shows that being shot at doesn't necessarily improve one's governing ability.
