I would think that as journalists are exited from any agency or news outlet, their writings are part of the property of both entities, so there could be some conflict of her exiting with work that was paid for as such; but also she should have access to her work as an author and editor of her own ideas too. Sort of a duality of ownership.

But as we get closer to Nov., I'm all about some good salacious changing of the guard last minute due to the shitty players on the field right now. It would be better to have people not swirled in accusations of bribes, payoffs, fraud, or porn stars, or senility.
