If this even became close to reality, I'd be buying stock in Kleenex and Orville Redenbacher. Originally Posted by texassapper

Only a fool thinks the standard of living is going to be better once the Dems have imprisoned their political opposition... (that's where they'd like to go). Heck even Hillary is floating the idea of de-programming and re-education camps for Trump supporters.
Again, Salty lacks an understanding aside from headline. Pelosi’s office is in Camron House. She has a set of workspace offices in the Capitol. That's what she's been asked to vacate. It's a petty move by McCarthy but has ZERO to do with Trump. Actually it's likely McCarthy wants the workspace for himself.

As I say, Salty believes literally anything floated on nut wing news and websites. At least the ignorance Salty propagates is entertaining. Sadly he actually believes nutty shit. Originally Posted by 1blackman1

... I didn't mean Pelosi's Camron space, or whatever
office space she might have at one of her-own homes,
or whatever office space she may have on a train,
or in the rain, or in Spain - or on Liberal Lane.

... I surely meant the space at the Capitol.
That she was told to vacate.

... It's NOT that complicated, mate - no need to make it so.

Salty you're clueless. Sadly, you can't even figure out how clueless you are.

IDK what all this excitement is about for next election since that means he can't serve another term.

So, *I* guess, Speaker is a viable alternative. That is, if he doesn't want to be VP canidate (sp) next election.

You and I are both fearful of the same ending, one party rule by the Democratic Party, for very different reasons.

If we have a government where Democrats control the Presidency, the Senate and the House, they'll go crazy with the spending again, like they did in 2021 and 2022. I think McCarthy as Speaker was a better bet to hold back spending than Trump would be. In May of this year under McCarthy, House Republicans did manage to claw back about $1.5 trillion of the $5 trillion+ that Democrats authorized when they were in complete power. That's quite an accomplishment, considering Republicans had a small majority and Democrats control the presidency and the Senate. Trump on the other hand went along with Nancy Pelosi, and for that matter his own party, too often on spending.

People should take a moment to step back and see what they are doing. As you state, it is gonna set everyone back. If it doesn't stop, hopefully permanently and give another life form a chance to dominate.
