I didn't read the thread. But, I agree with you. 8 sucks. Which is crazy since Win 7 is such a good OS.

None on the new one, lol. I have been planning on going to a Mac for a while now but figured I didn't have the time to go through all of the changes. I am not going to spend any time learning the new functions on Windows 8. Just gonna use it as storage for massive music and recordings. The not so computer literate people are going to go thru hell with the new OS. Likewise I see many of the providers will just plain suffer, lol.

windows 8 is windows 7, the core is the same. You don't have to use the metro desktop. Just switch to old desktop and minus the start button its essentially windows 7 with some minor differences. I agree that it, sucks in certain ways but its very easy to get used to. Mac's are great for certain apps but not just to replace a pc unless you have money to burn. Under the hood they are identical to pc's, run off the same hardware, just a different OS

Stick with Windows Capt. Bill Gates needs the money.
