NICK has reviews going back three years and they’re ALL IN CAPS. That’s his thing, jeez let him have it. They’re also pretty fucking entertaining too… isn’t that what this hobby is about?
In his defense Nick does have his name in ALL CAPS in his handle. But I do see how it can be a little loud. I also put rates in my reviews too though. Why write the review if it’s not to be helpful? But to each his own. I myself have chosen to stay away from this particular provider because she doesn’t respond and does seem to have some GPS going on. My regular girls are my regular girls for a reason I suppose so they get my business instead. Back to our regularly scheduled program.

The reason all caps matters, as biomed pointed out, is that it is widely considered to represent shouting. It's considered rude behavior. There's generally nothing to say that you can't disregard that norm but if you do, you shouldn't really complain when people think you're kind of behaving like an ass, right? If you don't want to quote a rate then don't quote a rate but you could be polite and say "I don't care to share that info." If instead you just don't interact except to deride others and call names, again it's kind of behaving like an ass. If you aren't going to respond and interact then why bother being on the board? If you feel otherwise it's fine to act like you want and do what you want but it's also reasonable for others to think you're behaving like a jerk.

tl;dr
behave however you want but don't act aggrieved when others let you know you're impolite
I simply don’t know why, when asked, he refused to just provide the fee schedule. Seems like a normal, if not necessary, part of this board’s existence.

When you're too busy being condescending towards people you'll have that. He obviously thinks his bragging should be enough, but had to take it one step farther and back handly told the OP if you can't afford it sit down and shut up. That's a shame when all that was asked was for current information on the amount donated.
I disagree. Your “grandfathered” rate is exactly that, yours. I have no expectation of provider’s prices being standardized. It’s LITERALLY retail and our job to price shop and compare. so you get $300? I get quoted 400. Either I want that specific person bad enough or I don’t. Seems kinda simple to me.

I know what I am willing to pay and if we can agree to services and a price I will see them. If we don’t I move on. It’s OK to ask what the donation is but I don’t think someone should be chastised for asking, nor not giving what their donation was. My expectations from the encounter may be different than someone else’s so the negotiated rate might be different. That is why, as I said, I will only mention a rate if they list it in their ad although it may or may not be the rate I received on my encounter. As Baconman said some of us have been around a long time so we have regulars that we have been seeing for years. I am upfront with guys that message me asking for rates that I have no idea what their current rate is and do not want someone messaging them that I quoted them a lower rate and they expect the same.
