Personal Protection

Naomi, you're right about not advertising what you have, and you did not, but, by doing so, maybe some Bubba will take it as a personal challenge.

I aways assume she has some kind of protection, although it's not a concern to me because I'm there for one reason. And as soon as I figure out what that is, I'll call my ATF.

Be Safe.

Naomi, was just thinking, if JahiaraQ jammed a rubber down his throat, he'd have a hell of a time explaining that in the OR room? or the morgue.

I think thorough screening/rates has a lot to do with the kind of gentlemen we meet. Some ladies screen, others don't.
While screening will not save you while BCD with a violent person/client. It IS a deterrent for
bad behavior.

This is somewhat of a comeback on the original question, but how would a provider feel if the hobbyist came in with a gun under their jacket? I do carry and am licensed to do so, but leave my weapon in my vehicle when I see the lady at her incall. Don't want to scare the h--- out of them. Just wondering about the providers feelings on that, because in some cases, the hobbyists may be in jeoprady from the standpoint of robbery on the incall visit.

I agree with some of the other posts, that I feel I have enough skills not martial arts to be able to handle myself in most situations without a weapon and that is the reason I would not carry one into a ladies incall.

In Texas, if you kill/harm someone in self-defense, when the cops arrive, ask to be taken to the hospital. They are not allowed to question you at the hospital, or while waiting for your ambulance. You will have 24 hours to get your story straight and contact legal aid.

My friend who just completed concealed handgun training told me this. I find this info very helpful in our line of work.
Guess I'd just be dead. Don't believe in carrying weapons. Don't have a martial arts ability. Actually, I try to be pretty much of a pacifist, although with my hot temper, it's sometimes harder than others.

Anyways.. Great thread!

If a hobbyist has a gun I will ask him to leave. I do not carry guns so there is no reason why he should have one. I mean darn should I carry portable metal detectors and set them up in my hotel room now?? I am a very drama-free, no BS provider and I expect the gentleman that contacts me to be the exact same way.
^ LOL!....or you could get those body scanner wands that they use at airports!
