Let's define AMP/Massage Parlor/Studio. I think AMP is pretty much self-explanatory, but what happens at an AMP can wildly vary and is also dependent on what city you go to. Some AMPs are strictly massage only and no HJ or sexual contact of any nature. The allure of these places is to allow one to be pampered by a docile creature trained in the art of making one feel good. At other AMPs, it is Katy Bar the Door in terms of activities (BBBJ, MSOG, etc). The girls most likely won't kiss at all though. Also from some of my research into the topic, you have to "impress" the mama-san in order to get any of the good stuff. Bottom line, act like you've been there before.

Massage Parlor's/Studios operate a lot like the Chicken Ranch or any of the other Nevada brothels. You walk in (no appointment necessary) and then select a girl from a line up. These are usually attractive girls (for the most part non-Asian). You then go back to a room and have fun. Fun can be defined by many terms depending on the $$$ laid down. I know in the past businesses like these operated openly in mainly Southern or SW cities-- i.e. Dallas, Phoenix, Nashville. I think with the advent of the internet and independent providers along with prudes, most of these places are now closed. The allure of parlors/studios was no appointment needed, a wide selection of ladies (usually), low cost with a pay as you go. From my experience, you could spend an hour of as much fun as one could want for under $200.

Cpalmson, you nailed it. The places in Nashville are closed now. In the good ole days you could hit one and have a line up of 10 to 20 girls at times. Pay the fee and have a very good time. Many were very GFE. For me it is the not having to schedule or prepare. Feeling in the mood, just drive down the street, stop and pick a lady. Get a table shower and good service. Kinda like going through the drive thru when you are in a hurry and need a snack rather than getting ready to go out to a nice restaurant. New Orleans has a few pretty nice AMP places. $160 and you get it all. Many are GFE especially if you have been a few times. I have had some great times in these places.

Our girls here are great, but when you are out and decide you need a quick fix, these places fit the bill.

These message parlors are thriving in my city.I got 5 of them in a 3 miles radius where I live, but still will never go back to one thanks mainly to Eccie.

I think there are 3 different classes of hobby-type visits being discussed here:

1. AMP - Asian Massage Parlor: Provides the submissive type Asian ladies, depending on locale, the connection with mama-san or an individual lady, can provide a full range of services. Usually a language issue is involved, rarely approaches a GFE type experience. If you know your local area, usually a guaranteed L1, L2 or L3 service at a reasonable rate, little need to schedule, available 24/7 I believe. Oh, and don't forget the table shower. To have a sweet young thing provide a nice, invigorating scrub of your body before she then does BBBJ, TUMA, and other activities is the biggest plus I see to the AMPs. (Table shower is sometimes abbreviated TS by guys who hang out at AMPS, I don't thing you will find a transvestite at most AMPs, so avoid the confusion.)

2. Massage Parlors - May be similar to AMPs, but more likely with women who speak English, more of a studio arrangement with multiple ladies available to choose from, or it may be a situation where you get the next gal in the rotation. I think still hard to get a GFE visit unless multiple visits are involved. I have not been to one of these types of places in a long time, not sure how many there are anymore. My personal opinion is that studios that don't hide under the veil of a massage parlor are more prevalent.

LE in Texas uses a combination of prostitution laws, massage regulations, and zoning codes to attack both 1 & 2. Primary draws I think are the ability to just drop in and no need to actually schedule a date, little chance of a NCNS or cancellation. And of course, the table shower in cases of AMPS. Primary negatives (to me) are the language barrier for AMPs and these ladies may be seing upwards of 6-8, even 10 guys a day. Some AMP estimates could be much higher, especially if you read the news media reports regarding the trafficing of women used in these markets.

3. Plain old massage therapist - May have 1-2 ladies working together, but generally you must schedule with them, your opportunities for extras are directly related to the rapport you have with them, the tip you provide, their comfort level with providing extras, and their need for money.

Primary draw for number 3 is the thrill of the hunt, usually a lady in this category is lower volume with regards to extras, speaks English, you actually get a relaxing massage sometimes, and while scheduling is required, these ladies are running a business, so they rarely NCNS or cancel on you. A guy caught in this arena can argue he was just getting a massage, an argument that likely will not work for an AMP.

Most AMPs or parlors have a visible presence that LE and health officials can see, that media and public can see, so they tend to draw attention, whereas a massage therapist is running a legit business with less traffic normally, so they do not have a big red target on their backs.

I'd like to know the actual statistics regarding "human trafficking" vs "people smuggling". There's a large number of girls that are fully aware of what they are getting into, and it's a chance to make a better life for themselves and their families. Yes, human trafficking is abhorrent and needs to be stopped, but I think it probably happens less often than you think.
