Whatever happened to the Tea Party, you ask?

Huh? Only $3.5 million in settlement? Fucking peanuts! After the lawyers take their slice and the rest gets divvied up, those 501(c)(4) victims of Lois Lerner's crimes will be lucky to collect $20k apiece. Meanwhile, they were effectively neutered and unable to get off the ground during the entire run-up to the 2012 election.

So if I were an obama dimotard, the lesson here is... CRIME DOES PAY!!!

That $3.5 million is just chump change, especially since the feds picked up the tab. It went a long way toward helping odumbo get re-elected! Originally Posted by lustylad

That's what Russians do. We do it to them. The reason Putin attacked Hillary was because she attacked him during the 2012 Russian election when she was Secretary of State. It's very unlikely Trump had any involvement in any of this, except for the moron's request on national television for the Ruskies to hack Hillary's email.

On the other hand, there's a a smoking gun, or guns, where Obama made speeches and Senators Durbin, Schumer, Franken, Levin, Shaheen, Udall, Whitehouse, Bennet, Merkley and others wrote letters to the IRS. They essentially lobbied the IRS to put the screws to right of center nonprofits. This is informative:

And the IRS complied, in part. This was not good. The IRS should be apolitical. If they're allowed to pull shit like this, what's next? Maybe they'll start auditing the tax returns of Republican donors? They do that and there may be another Tea Party, a real one, like in Boston Harbor.

So the IRS gets a piddly $3.5 million fine and the politicians get off scot free in the court of public opinion, without so much as a censure.

Hey dilbert, you understand these organizations were prevented from raising TENS OF MILLIONS of dollars from donors while their applications were being slow-walked by the IRS, right? Originally Posted by lustylad

And i agree, 3.5 mil will wind up being Chump change to all those impacted. IT should have beem more like 350 million. ALL BEING PAID FOR by the members OF obama's staff, himself and lerner, who were the cause of it....
