I once met a lady from AR who went to NYC and just walking down the street, met an old friend from high school.
My luck if I met an escort in public would be someone I never expected to see would recognize me and come over and start talking. They would want to meet my girlfriend and have all kinds of questions! Or they might not say anything then, but would have all kinds of questions later!
I am afraid enough of having someone recognizing my vehicle at a motel and questioning me as to why I was there!

my thoughts are: Then you'd really have some dirt on your friend who says they thought they saw you! LOL "No, that's absolutely not my car. Why were you there??

For clarification, I do have first dates that involve going out in public.

I just never meet for the first time, in public. I always meet in private first, because I've learned that people will do things that are not discreet.

Whether you agree or disagree, handing someone money or an envelope is not discreet in public. There are lots more examples, but hopefully you get the gist.

I work out of my home, And If I ask you to meet at the corner bank or gas station it is because you are a newbie or one without many reviews. Or I think you are a plant.

But you won't know we are meeting there until I give you the address on the day and time of meeting.
(You will not get my home address) If I don't feel comfortable right away.

I understand the part about people not being discreet in public. Sometimes people think they are blending in when they are the person wearing a red shirt when everyone else is wearing a blue shirt.
I once had an agency girl come to my home, promising to drive herself. Instead a driver dropped her off. When we were done, the girl called him to pick her up. The guy was so dumb he forgot where he dropped her off. He couldn't figure out street numbers. He came down the street flashing his headlights, and was on the phone 'do you see me now'! Like his headlights were invisible to everyone else.
Also, sitting in a car playing with a phone after a date is suspicious looking. When visitors come to your home, when they are ready to leave, they get in their car and drive off. Anything unnatural will be noticed by someone.
