I'm calling bullshit on the OP. I think this entire thread is a load of cow dung.

+1 ShysterJon. I think there's a hidden agenda here.
She has been found. Thanks to those who provided help. Catch22 has nothing compared to lawyers and their inability to unplug blockages.

I think it is best not to call it a felony until the case has been to court . . . Originally Posted by essence

If you want more information than you thought was available there is an "edge of the line" approach. Install TOR, use an anonymous web browser, go to a public hot spot and go out advertising for "someone" to do a trace/track. Only. May cost you a couple of bitcoins. You'll most likely get Russians or somebody in South America, but they will usually be "ethical" within the bounds of the environment. Just make damn sure they know you are only looking for information, not action.

If you haven't figured out by now, I'm suggesting that you might want to hire a blackhat to do the job.

If you spend a little time shopping before you buy you can usually spot the PLA and ISIS, whom you don't want to fund.
Thanks Austin but I don't want to live that dangerously. We have been talking and she is lawyered up to deal with the issues she was facing. End of story.

Well, not quite - as ever, the Texas legal system is vicious if you don't have money to get lawyered up. They even put you in a position where you can't get hold of any funds you might have.

I find it very strange.

If, for example, somebody is in jail, is there a way to find this out? Some database of who is being detained? I assume not, without some leg work.

I knew her real name, we are talking about civilians, not providers.

vicious? depends on the situation. like Baretta said ,, "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time .."

easy. the Texas Department of Criminal Justice will tell you all you need to know

you will need to get a membership and attest to "why" you are requesting some info, depending on what it is.

this is clearly a case where you broke the golden rule, you got emotionally attached. doesn't matter if she's civilian or provider .. once that happens rational judgement is out the door, along with common sense.

i've been there done that, it's not pretty. if you want her that bad, roll the dice and help her out. if all you want is the money back, good luck with that! if you are the international man about town you claim, it won't dent your jaguar payments yeah? chalk it up to "lesson learned" and move on..

nice to see ya again cabletex7 ..
Thanks Waco, some useful links, but maybe your link to TDJC is just for convicted offenders?

Also, are you saying one should not have emotional attachments to any woman, after ten years of fucking them (or even as just friends), whether civilian or not? I am sure you didn't really mean to say that, unless you are temporarily in a bad place.....

Please remember, y'all, that you may be accused of a felony, there may be a felony arrest, there may be a felony court case, but you are not a felon until tried and found guilty. Or am I missing something?

Does the word 'alledged' not exist in the US?

The expectation is that all charges will be dropped, but it does take time and money to go through the paperwork.

Y'all are far too quick to judge.

Y'all are also far too quick to make assumptions about me and my relationships.

I'm not going to add anything to demonstrate who the dumbasses are.

Didn't you know all of Europe is now subject to Sharia law, and that says all infidels should be excluded?

BTW, met a nice girl from Georgia on Friday, she is studying in London, she wants me to give her a full body massage on Wednesday. Apparently US guys are not decent enough to teach her the art of the erotic.

of course it is. if you want to find out if someone is being held, pre-trial you'll have to call the jail they are most likely in. they'll tell you. of course the "where" part might require multiple calls ..

i'm saying once you get emotionally attached, you are in the deep end of the kiddie's pool. doesn't matter civilian or not.

i don't know too many people from the UK that use the slang "Y'all" often, if at all.

i'm with ShysterJon on this. your story is cow dung.

looks like you've all over the board with this story ..

I will ignore the above dumbass ad hominems.

You will be pleased to know my friend has been found and we are talking. More than that is none of anybody's business. I was simply trying to find out suitable processes and mechanisms, not being familiar with the US proper channels.

Back to topic and the hilarious recent JM thread.

'he says she does X' means 'he did not say she does X'.

Maybe I have already covered that above Originally Posted by essence

Like I say, quick to judge.

I use the phrase 'y'all' as i find it useful, but I would never ever say things like 'I could care less'. My kids complain when I talk about soccer (it is football) and going to the gas station (should be petrol station).

BTW, I don't think anybody uses terms like 'old chap' or 'cheerio' nowadays, you must have been watching too many bad old British films. Hugh Grant et. al. are an embarrassment.
