The Red State Murder Problem

LOL!

Are city-level politics party specific in Yinzerville?

I think the hackneyed RWW term "Democrat-run cities" is a euphemism for (do we even need to fill in the blanks???).

I’m waiting for someone to have the balls to state the real problem, since everyone knows what it is. This place isn’t a bastion of free speech so, in the interest of not getting booted off the site, I’ll personally refrain.

The truth is Red States have Democrat run cities that drive crime stats upwards. Take the first state on the list, Mississippi. The largest city is Jackson with a population of 164,000 residence the city's Government is ran by Democrats. The second State on the list Louisiana New Orleans and Baton Rouge same thing and both have experienced a spike in violent crime since 2020. Percentages have value but it's origin does too. This maybe the most disingenuous piece of journalism I have ever seen.

Based on this information, the ten most dangerous cities in the United States are:
  • Detroit, MI
Michael Edward Duggan (born July 15, 1958) is an American businessman and politician of the Democratic Party, currently serving as the 75th mayor of Detroit, Michigan.

  • Memphis, TN
Jim Strickland (born October 22, 1963 is an American attorney and politician who is the 64th and current mayor of Memphis, Tennessee, serving since 2016. A Democrat, he previously served as a member of the Memphis City Council.

  • Birmingham, AL Democrat party
  • Baltimore, MD Democrat party
  • St. Louis, MO Democrat party
  • Kansas City, MO Democrat party
  • Cleveland, OH Democrat party
  • Little Rock, AR Democrat party
  • Milwaukee, WI Democrat party
  • Stockton, CA Republican party
  • Jackson Ms Democrat party
  • New Orleans Democrat party

Google what race commits the most violent crime by population. This is not a secret and yes we could have a discussion on causes but that doesn't alter the facts. I'll leave it at that.

Republican ran cities with murder issues:

Jacksonville, FL--- in fact, Jax is the murder capitol of Florida.
Fort Worth, TX-- 2021 was a record setting year for homicides in Ft. Worth
Oklahoma City, OK-- not nearly as bad as the above two, but still not considered a "safe" city by the numbers
Fresno, CA-- murder rate higher than San Francisco or Los Angeles
Bakersfield, CA-- murder rate higher than San Francisco or Los Angeles
Lexington, KY-- record homicides in 2021

Yeah-- the thing to bear in mind is that out of the 100 largest cities in the US, the vast majority are Dem ran... but the ones that are Republican ran all have the same issues with crime that the Dem cities have. Its not a matter of party affiliation--no matter how much some would like it to be (on either side)

Well, I'm going to give it anyway. Whoever those Republican Mayor's and Council members are, they committed fraud against the Republican party in mis-representing what their party wanted them to do, fight and defeat crime as your number one priority because you don't have economic prosperity with a high crime rate. Every real Republican knows that, it's on the first page of the "How to be a Republican" hand book and it's right up there at the top of the page.

And a perfect example of a list of Rino's.

Or they are just weak people up against an unmovable force and they have probably given in to the new "woke" agenda. That's was my first thought.

Just look at the DA's being recalled, all Democrat's whose whole platform is "soft on crime".

Like it or not these Democrats have set up the Republicans with a win on one of the top say 5 most important things to Americans. IMO, Republicans now have the most favorable polling on the economy, on crime, on education with education reform sweeping the nation as a ballot issue, domestic energy policy, foreign policy and today we see Joe Biden, going hat in hand to fist bump the man he called a pariah, asking him for favors.

What sane Democrat,( I know I'm limiting the field here ) can explain how getting and paying for dirty oil from Saudi Arabia, is a better idea that producing cleaner oil and providing American jobs here at home? How, if asked, is any Democrat going to explain that policy especially in light of very prominent Democrats Ro Khana for one, saying Biden's energy problem is all wrong?

This idea can not be squared, that we are helping the planet by burning Saudi oil and not ours. That position can not be explained by any reasonably sane person and they seem to be few and far between in the Democrat party.

But back to the issue of crime. Is there a reason why none of those Republican run cities are ever on the evening news and the Democrat run cities like Chicago, Baltimore, LA., are? Can't be because Republicans are running most of the MSM. I'm just curious what others think about this. Why is Chicago and LA the ones on the news constantly while Jacksonville isn't. I would think the Democrat run MSM would be showing wall to wall crime in all those Republican cities. I wonder why they don't.
... Yssup, me point was that their numbers were from
2019-2020... It's 2022 now... Why are they estimating??

They didn't want to use the actual FBI Murder data from
the time-period because the result will surely be different
from their estimated numbers.

Their methodology of counting murders in certain states
is different from how the FBI does it.

Yes it is and they explained why. It was because the FBI estimates. They chose local jurisdictions stats. Had they not explained that, you’d be whining about something else.

Again, you’re jumpin into the weeds. You disagree with the findings of that scientific document based on real statistics from the agencies that processed the murders? Yogi ahead…this one isn’t worth going all in on for you, bro. You can’t change the numbers.

So the big question is. If murders are indeed high in Red States, who is doing all the killing.

I feel safe in saying it is not 50+ year old white guys who vote Republican.
Nor 50 year old black guys that vote Democrat. But I bet thatd be an interesting statistic to see which of those two groups have the highest gun crime or murder rate.

no doubt that article is misleading due to the fact many cities are overwhelmingly Blue run.

different ways to count. squeeze a turnip, you get statistics.

All too often when liberals cite statistics, they forget the statisticians' warning that correlation is not causation.
