LOL, Chica! They can't even distort what I say to make themselves look good like they usually do on this one.
This has been going on for 20 years, and just now is news?

An average of 1.5 million jobs per year, as opposed to 100K over 3.5? That is recent, Ekim. And that is the Obama legacy.

Yes, that's right. Since President Obama took office, approximately 100,000 jobs have been added to the US economy, according to the Social Security Administration.

Are you fucking kidding me?

After trillions of dollars of "stimulus", endless hyperbole and mountains of lies, we added only 100,000 jobs? This is a recovery? This is a "good" record? This is effective government?

From the article:

When President Barack Obama was inaugurated in January 2009, there were 142,187,000 people employed and 7,442,377 workers taking federal disability payments. That equaled about 1 person taking disability payments for each 19.1 people actually working.

In May of this year, there were 142,287,000 people employed, and 8,707,185 workers taking federal disability payments. That equaled 1 worker taking disability payments for each 16.3 people working.

In 1992 there were 118,419,000 people working in the US. That means that between 1992 and 2009, about 25,000,000 jobs were added. That's about 1.5 million jobs added per year. During the Obama administration, that is about, oh, say, 30,000 per year? Really? And you clowns want to re-elect this guy?

God help us.

Where were the jobs lost? The figures don't support your conclusion, CBJ7, not that it ever mattered to you.

And that adds up to 40,000,000? Add a math class to your comprehension program. The SSA deals with hard numbers. The BLS is statistics, which means, they guess.

Sorry, CBJ7, you are simply wrong this time. Take your classes and come back when you've learned something.

  • We still need many more jobs to overcome the loss of jobs that started in 2008 and to make up for the increase in population since 2008. Please remember that over 49,000,000 people were laid off between Spring of 2008 and the end of 2009.

How did you come up with these numbers? Why isn't there one number instead of all of these?

Counting jobs or workers is very tricky. In seasonal numbers, we have still lost more jobs and workers in the first year of Obama's administration, when the economy was struggling to pull out of recession, than we have gained during the second and third years of Obama's administration when we have experienced job growth. We are still running a jobs/workers deficit of up to 1,500,000 in seasonally-adjusted numbers since Obama took office.

Job growth was brisk in the first months of 2011, slowed down towards the middle of the year, then picked up during the last months of the year. However, job growth, particularly private sector job growth, continued throughout 2011. We now have 23 months of private sector job growth.

There's usually no one number that explains everything, and most monthly numbers need to be seen as "trends", not absolutes. People use the unemployment rate, but even that can vary for so many reasons that don't really reflect the true state of the labor market.

Even she shows a net loss. Pathetic picture. Still, the SSA deals in hard numbers. Nice try, though.
