So you must have told him to come up because how else would he know what door to knock. Dont see why he would need to text you "I'm coming up" Then You don't answer the door nor reply to his text sayin he at the door. Sure 5 minutes doesn't sound like a long time but when you are walking the hotel hallway with no where to go, it can feel like an eternity.

He probably got nervous and left. And rightfully so. Johns ain't got time for this type of setbacks. This is really on you. You made a mistake. But there is still time to Make it right.
