Certainly looks like adding Tuesday lunches to the Wednesday happy hours schedule will continue to be very successful.

For those who don't know how San Antonio's events work, both lunches and happy hours are all on Tuesdays, due to the community preferences and venues' availabilities. And SA uses several venues over the course of a year.

With many folks in Austin reporting "Wednesday" complications, the Social Committee agreed to trial Tuesdays for lunches. Tuesday participation has been overwhelming, and, indeed, many of the Tuesday attendees appear rarely able to do Wednesday happy hours, or, for that matter, maybe even Wednesday lunches we were to have those.
So, for the time being, we'll continue to alternate between the Tuesday lunches and the Wednesday happy hours. Meaning an event every five or 6 weeks or so.
I'm in the process of polling the Austin social list to see if perhaps we can compress the event interval time a bit - meaning maybe an event every 4 weeks or so.
Over the past few years, Austin happy hours have been every 6 or 7 weeks or so and well attended imo. So, maybe 7 or 8 events a year. If the current event schedule continues, we will have held 6 events by the end of June. With a little interval compression, we could end 2014 with 11 or 12 events.

It was my third Austin social ever, and I was surprised at how well attended it was. It was cool meeting the legendary Monk, as well as over 18 ladies, only a few of whom I had met before. Thanks to all for the Intel received. Good community of folks.
