lower back pain

You probably sit on your ass too much
A lot of back pain in individuals is contributed to tight hamstrings and glute muscles. Learn how to stretch and strengthen those and you will be greatly surprised the difference that makes! Originally Posted by racegear20

Belly weight is leveraged over the spine and pulling on the spine can throw it out of alignment, putting stress on those vertebrae and muscles which go into the spasm.

Good luck.
I have had it since I was a kid.

May have to get it stabilized with surgery, but not soon.

I'm only 150 lbs, and do about 9 miles every other day. It was just 2 times when I must have made a slight movement, and then my lower back was killing me for about 3 days.
I can tell you Vita, it is more likely you glutes and hams, especially with the running you do. Very common, under diagnosed issue.
Try Chinese cupping therapy

It's not often recognized but having a large stomach / gut also puts stress on the lower back.

I hurt my lower back over exerting in the gym and saw a chiropractor for over a year until it fully healed but lower back issues ain't no joke.

I will share a secret of what I use. A lot of body builders use this as well and I will tell you it works almost instantly. My Chiropractor couldn't professionally tell me it's ok to use but off the record he recognized that it works and is potent. It's like a bio-freeze for horses with sore muscles called Absorbine / Horse Liniment. I know you can find at Tractor Supply Co. they may also sell it at Pets Mart.

Just google "is absorbine safe for human use" and you'll find all kinds of advice with the overwhelming majority in favor of.

Here's a good article on it. Apparently it's widely used throughout Europe by horse jockeys and different sports teams.
