Some people just don't get it, I am a vet if two did periods, gulf war and war on terror, I truly know what this holiday is about. I 1000000% support all out vets and pay the biggest respect to those who didn't make it home, wether in this conflict or another. Everyone that has served has paid a sacrifice of some kind. Yes this is a fed holiday, and yes it has been commercialized like all the other holidays, but this one holds a different spot in my heart since it's about the sacrifice and memories of those that gave the ultimate sacrifice to our great nation so we can have discussions like this.

Memorial day is a big deal. Like the government doesn't tell you the real reason to go to war but non the less very brave people go and some don't like come back.
