There is a provider that has been reviewed on here many times and I've been wanting to go in, but then while on Facebook I see we have about 10 of the same friends. I know these people don't know that she's in the business. My wife is friends with knows all these people. I want to go see her but I'm trying to think this thing out. An input would be nice. Here's more for you, OP...you imply you cannot comprehend a life without being a facebook account...is that because you are ... let's say .... intellectually challenged? One of my many flaws is the disappointment I experience when one of my in-the-fucking-flesh friends sends me an email asking to "friend" my ass...who knew he/she was a friggin' moron! It saddens me to admit that my regard for that individual seems forever tarnished...I had believed they were better than that.

Since I have friends in Asia Pac, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, FB is a necessity for me as it's our primary way of staying in touch and making plans. I don't post pictures but I will email them in private if they want an update. For all of my US friends they just hit me up via text message if they want to chat.

Life is short and so I think we should embrace (with needed caution) and take advantage of technology.

You seem to have made the assumption that she would see you professionally even though you have real world friends in common. All depends on the degree of separation.

OP, I'm in a similar situation. The provider doesn't want to destroy her family and ruin her career and I'll never tell her that I stumbled on this connection. I feel more secure about seeing her than some 19 yr old with nothing to lose. Besides, it's kinda of a thrill having that secret.

I definitely believe in taking advantage of technology, I'm just very selective in the technology I use for communication with others.

If I were you I would pick someone else. You don't want to put yourself at risk of anyone finding out about you or her. Plus if you out her to anyone on facebook it will just make your problem worse.

Kind of a retarded logic since my family in Israel and friends in Russia and Europe do the same via text or a simple phone call. But then again I do not have a FB account in my real name.
