GO SPURS GO!!!!

Yes sir. Spurs put on a clinic in the 1st half and weathered the storm they knew would be coming in the 2nd half. Leonard and green definitely stepped up and played great. Sugar K especially with his Defense on Lebron. Series is good.

I know this is going to demonstrate that I am a real geezer, but ....

... this matchup reminds me a lot of the 1974 finals between the aging but savvy Boston Celtics and the young up-and-coming Milwaukee Bucks. It was clearly a matchup between the best passing team in the league with no real superstars, versus the young Kareem who was far and away the most lethal offensive threat in the league.

And just like then, I think we are seeing that the better TEAM is going to beat the best player.

And by the way, if you go back that far, Ginobili is really a throwback to John Havlicek.

Vamos Spurs!
Woo Hoo!!!! Spurs Win. First to 4. Spurs 1 game away. Another TEAM effort all around for Spurs.
WOOHOO indeed! Stats-wise, the big standout in THIS game was rebounding, total and offensive: the Spurs buried the Heat in these categories.

Yep.

Three down, one to go.

Anyone recall how The Heat tried to lure a young NBA rookie by the name of Tim Duncan to switch teams? Believe it was at the end of the 1997-1998 season, if I correctly recall.

David Robinson left his vacation home in Hawaii to personally plead with Timmy to stay on with the Spurs. And we all know how that paid off the following season: the Spurs' 1st-ever NBA championship.

That's why I especially enjoy the ass-whooping the Spurs have handed the Heat these past couple games -- sometimes you can't simply throw money at talent and expect to buy your way to a championship.

I'd like to proclaim today as Admiral Appreciation Day.
CHAMPIONSHIP #5 -- WOOHOO!!!

The big stat this game: We buried 'em on 3-pointers and assists; Miami lagged, but was close, in all other aspects.
Go Spurs Go!!!!!!!

There goes the rest of my bonus scheduling some celebratory playtime with some lovely ladies.

Am happy for Kawhi getting MVP. And no * on this ring, a very convincing 4-1.

Championship # 5 is complete. Leonard is the future and he showed it.

You can sum up the Spurs this season with two words...

Depth and Unselfish

Great TEAM effort again. Pop is truly a basketball mastermind. But this is what happens when you play together as a team. Not following one man, ie LeBrons comment.

One of the best displays of TEAM you will ever see in all of professional sports. Congrats to the Spurs on an amazing redemption from last year to capture their 5th title. Truely amazing! #GoSpursGo!
The bench was the key all year showing it was a true team effort. Quite a tribute after last years finale. This has to be one of the largest overall margins of victory ever, and against a championship caliber team. Pop, the team. and the city deserve this
