P.S. Mainly, I'm going, because I'm hoping to round up some after party playtime with some dawgs. This girl needs to get some strange and do her favorite job ever. Keep my number on speed dial, yeah?
My best freind is currently battling Breast Cancer. I have learned more about it than I ever wanted to learn. We are past the worst of it and have only 8 more lesser treatments to go. She is doing wonderful and I am very proud of her strength.
My donation to Breast Cancer Awarenes is that I have been volunteering at our local Cancer Society for ladies. I am also helping in our Fashion Show on the 23rd at the Crowne Royal Plaza in BR if anyone is interested in attending.
I seem to have a lot more pink in my life now. lol
An FYI to any ladies over 40, the Mary Byrd Cancer Clinic in BR is giving free mamograms to ladies who do not have insurance.
While I can appreciate the humor in this thread, The Susan G. Komen Foundation has gotten a yearly donation from me for many years. I lost my mother to breast cancer when I was 16.
I have a light jacket that ALWAYS has a pink ribbon on it. And, I make my donation every October, which is not only breast cancer awareness month but also the month of my mother's death.
I'm personally very happy that athletic teams choose to wear something pink during October. It's just one more way to raise awareness.
