It is official, as of last night.

I'm landing at Swampy shortly before midnight Sunday 23 Nov, flying out Sunday morning Pearl Harbor Day. Originally Posted by Sidewinder

They pull that stunt ALL the time.

Walk down the street to Tilac, or Shark, or Suzie Wong, or Rawhide, or...

If you hit this once, chalk it up. If they refuse to allow you to pay bar on more than one girl, close your tab and go somewhere else. IMMEDIATELY.

NEVER REWARD BAD BEHAVIOR.
Oh, and several of them *ARE* college students.

I ran into one girl some years ago, who told me she couldn't go long time with me that night because she was a student and she had a test the next morning. A few nights later, I asked her how the test went. Her scream told me EVERYTHING I needed to know: she WAS a student and it was NOT an easy test.

I have a friend who is a coyote dancer at another bar, in Soi Cowboy. She's an absolute sweetheart and a LOT of fun to hang out with. She has a bachelor's degree in mass communications, from Ramkamhaeng University, which she earned while she was dancing.

Thanks for all of the information that has been posted. Planning on retiring to Pattaya, Thailand in less then 5 yeas when I will be 62. Will have SS kicking in, 401K, Pension and my bank account. Will get an apartment since I am single and will remain single and enjoy what Thailand and Asia has to offer, such as Rain Forest, Nature, Beaches, women and food.....

If anyone has any advice I sure would appreciate it...

Thanks,

TexasCowboy
First, keep an eye on the political situation for the next few years.

Second, I'd consider areas other than Pattaya. The "farang as ATM" mentality is extremely entrenched there, and I do not expect the current crackdowns on the ripoff artists to last forever.

In my case, I eventually want to retire to Bangkok. I have medical issues that absolutely require easy emergency access to a good hospital, which pretty much dictates a big city environment. Bangkok has that, in big casino.

I would live somewhere other than Pattaya and then visit Pattaya for fun. a $30 cab ride and you are there in an hour and a half. living in Pattaya you would get burned out and also would get caught up in drama but visit blow some money have a few 20 year old stunners then go back to somewhere else and relax.
