The only way to avoid one of those machines is to have surgery. Otherwise that will be the only way you will be able to sleep and not keep your SO awake with your constant snoring. I am sure you are one of those people that says....."I don't snore".......yeah right............LOL Originally Posted by SOULMANIKE

A good sleep center will tell you exactly what will happen. A good one will show the options on type of mask, comfort counts. If its comfortable, you might actually use it.
How did it go?
Well how was it ICE
Icey...Ice...uuum..I might be on to something here...lol
My mom had one down a few years back. I dont remember how it went really but the conclusion was that they needed to remove or alter the lil hangy downy thing in the back of her throat. After that she slept better and no longer snored tho! Good luckk!!!XOXOX

I went through this in March.
I have it bad.
I was one of there worst cases they have seen.
I now sleep with the machine and it has been a life saver.
It actually went very well. It wasn't as uncomfortable as I'd heard it was gonna be. I was already tired when I got there. So, by the time they got me in the room and hooked up to all the wires, I was ready to sleep.

It was a little weird sleeping with all of the wires hooked up to me, but I slept pretty good. I won't get the results back until about a week from now. They will tell me whether or not I need a CPAP.

Glad to hear your experience wasnt too bad, and curious to know what they say.
