I am NOT expecting the GOP to take control of the Senate; like JackieS, I think Orman will win Kansas, Hagen will win NC, and Shaheen holds on to NH. Ernst might win in Iowa; but she has been slipping in the polls and now has only a 1% lead over Braley. Not enough to over come voter fraud/illegals voting. Same in NC. Originally Posted by Whirlaway

If the GOP doesn't take control of the Senate... then that party is dead.

2012 was bad enough. You could even argue that it is bad enough that it is close:

1. Unpopular President
2. Unpopular law
3. 6th year out of power (historically good)
4. "Okay" economy (debatable for sure)
5. Defending a lot of red state democrats (AK, LA, AR, NC, MT)

I mean, just on point 5 alone, it shouldn't be close. If they can't pull it off now, and by a lot (I am thinking 8 or 9 seats), then I really don't know about their chances in 2016 or beyond.

Joni Ernst has a 7 point lead in Iowa now going into election day. Ye of little faith.

Even the strategy of hate and race baiting seems to be failing.....

..... and didn't Heavy Hillarious just depart Iowa after a "campaign swing"?

havent posted in awhile.... R's need to pick up 6 seats... WV, SD, and Mont are all but shooins as of now.... AR... Cotton has a good lead, LA will go to a runoff but Landrieu is toast.... cant get over 43 percent of vote, GA probably going runoff due to 3rd party candidate, but Perdue should win there... Gardner is knocking off Udall in CO... Ernst is up 7 now... McConnell is up 7 to hold on to KY.... NC is a tossup, though that usually favors ground game and Dems do have it there.... NH Sheheen should hold, though she was up 10 just a month ago.... KS will be a tossup as well.... R's should when all said and done be 53-47 in Senate.... though 2016 will be tough because of a lot of R seats up for grabs then
