former providers showing up on Facebook

Google monitors your position.....

We all know this.

..... when they notice two (or more) phones next to each other on more than a few occasions .... or for long periods of time ... the dots are connected.

There is really not much you can hide when you carry such a sophisticated wireless 2-way communicator .... that has gps, microphone, and camera.

When you mix in stupid American voters ..... with smart phones .... and existing rural infrastructure .... you get a fast track to communism.

Cue Russ ......

fb picks up on numbers associated with your account. I was given the real names of a provider and hobbyist through fb recognition. And the provider used a separate phone not associated with fb yet it still identified her.

FB has been suggesting some of my clients as friends too. We've got no friends in common and I have a hobby phone and hobby email as well as a civie phone and email. Never the twain shall meet, but somehow they are showing up as suggested friends.

Rather creepy. Originally Posted by Veronica Peach

In case you guys didn't know the new updates on FB messenger allow the app to go through your contacts so it picks up accounts associated with that number. If you have FB messenger get rid of that shit or get another phone and don't dl FB. Also I'm not 100% but i think the updates on FB (not FB messenger may start doing the same). it's all int he TOS and privacy policy.
Lol that happen to me I had an ATF that disappeared know she appeared on ppl I might know. I saw that she's prego and in a relationship. Oh well on to the next one...lol
we have entered into a brave new world in which there will be no privacy or secrets at all unless you go live in a cabin in the mountains and withdraw from society.

I have had that happen many times with providers I have seen and I use Google Voice and a hobby email address that aren't linked to Facebook.

Another one of my 17 reasons for not having a facebook account.
One note, I deleted the Facebook Messenger App and haven't had a recurrence of the issue.

My hobby phone is a "dumb" phone. Hobby email is web based and I check it using a separate browser. I'm sure it's not foolproof but so far I have had no crossing of data that I'm aware of.
I don't have fb either. I have too many skeletons and live too many lives (read lies) to even consider that.
