Gas Prices

Yes, Saudi Arabia and OPEC are causing cheap gas prices which is good for American citizens and bad for corrupt oil companies. Originally Posted by Trill Jackson

What did oil companies do to me you ask?

Well for starters, They destroyed the Gulf of Mexico. This not only destroyed a beautiful place to travel and vacation but ruined my cousins shrimp fishing company and many other small businesses.

Also, constant warfare in the Middle East driven by greedy oil corporations killed my nephew who served in Iraq.

The only people who get anything good from oil companies are the stock holders.

"Corrupt oil companies"?? Do you know what an oil company is? It is a set of documents. What did a piece of paper ever do to you?
Do you own any stocks? Any indexes? Ever buy gas? Oil? Any petroleum products?

Don't curse the good people who bring you these products while you enjoy your use of them, just say "Thank you" and proceed on your way. Originally Posted by blue3122

How can anyone say oil companies are good at all? They are a necessary evil at best. Any company like BP or Exxon that has so much power over the world as they do will inherently do horrible things. We have 6000 years of documented history to show that absolute power corrupts all.

I suppose you complain about our government and elected officials, but you still drive on their roads right? You still collect social security right? Do you use the post office? You're still protected by the US military right? Next time you complain about our government remember your own words idiot

NEWS FLASH!

The people pay for all of that "free shit" the government gives us. Don't act like it's them just giving it to us for nothing.

And I'm sorry for the loss of your nephew, but don't blame oil companies out of anger. The middle east has been a death trap looooong before oil was ever thought of. It's not new. And I don't believe Exxon or Mobil forced him to go there and fight.

There have been many conflicts in the Middle East throughout history, but there would be no US involvement in Iraq if they did not have oil, this is true about many other countries in the region.

And no, he wasn't drafted, he signed up on his own to serve his country. Our govt. in association with BP and other companies were the reason we were in Iraq. He did not agree with the Iraq war but served anyway because of his patriotism. Patriotism that chicken-hawk Neo-cons will never understand because their children don't serve in our wars.

It seems you want to accuse a piece of paper of doing something to you.

If you want to accuse people, then are you accusing all who work for oil companies or use their products?

As for disagreement with government policies, that is what elections are for.

If you don't like what an oil company or any company does, then acquire their stock and change the board, or start a PR campaign against them, otherwise you just sound like a whiny little bit#h.

Have you forgot about 9/11? Now, I'm a conservative libertarian that was against going into the middle east, so I assume that you are talking about people like Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid that all voted to send our troops there.

Who are the chicken-hawk Neo-cons? I have to believe you are a liberal. They think that name calling is an argument. I don't agree with President Obama's policies so I'm a racist.

The price would go down. Do you people seriously want more expensive gas?
If gas was $5 a gallon everyone would complain, including me, but right now when it's extremely cheap you STILL complain? I don't care if you own oil stocks, that makes you bias. Cheaper gas is good for Americans, especially during the holidays.

Demand is down, and that's great because oil will run out eventually. OPEC has a product in demand and theyre selling it, that's just the free market at work

So clone these women if you can and lets hope gas prices stay cheap.

I'm ready for Diesel fuel to be the same price or cheaper than regular gas, not a dollar a gallon higher. This was always the case before Hurricane Katrina.

Almost all new oil production is coming from private lands. The Obama administration has virtually blocked exploration on government lands.

With Saudi Arabia pumping at these levels, without consulting the other members, you will see the end of OPEC.
