Ask the 2 dead cops in NYC how well gun control works. There's an almost total ban on handguns in the city, yet a felon 'manages' to sneak one in and waste two of them? Go figure. Murder is already illegal, you think someone that's a murderer gives a shit about a gun law? It almost pisses me off more that idiots like this are allowed to have kids than that they're allowed to have guns.

The part that gets me is how did a 2 year old pull the trigger? I mean my, at the time 12 year old son had a hard time pulling the trigger on my pistol, and I'm pretty sure he is a bit stronger than a 2 year old.
I agree it is sad and she should have done a better job of policing her child, esp knowing she had the gun in her purse.
I feel for her other children left behind with no mother because of her own negligence

It was a freak accident, one in a million, actually way more than a million. That's why it's on the news. Don't mistake what's on the news for some kind of significant, preventable problem that needs government attention.

Too bad this mother of three wasn't a school teacher in Sandy Hook a couple years ago, there might never been a Sandy Hook. Wish she was there instead of the unarmed principal that charged the shooter with nothing in her hands, or the pussy cops that stood outside waiting for backup while the shooter finished up.

How DID a 2yr old get the safety off (assuming it was on :/ ) and PULL the trigger? Most firearms require a decent amount of 'pull'. Talk about a million to one chance.

And, although I feel sorry for the family... she TOTALLY Darwinned that shit! Problem is, she already reproduced so the gene pool is still rich with stupidity.
No doubt her sons will be in love with SAB, bankrolling her and driving her around in a few years

Some people on this board know I was shot a year and a half ago. My life will never be the same. But the gun didn't shoot me. The asshole all hyped up on drugs did. Excuse me; the asshole allegedly hyped up on drugs shot me.

Many semi auto hand guns do not have an external safety. Glock being the most common. If a round is chambered all you have to do is pull the trigger.
