Austin is now a Hand Free City and use of many Hand Held Devices could now cost you up to $500

Why don't you also complain that the cops exceed the speed limit when they are chasing the guy who just stole your car.....?? Originally Posted by Ed Highlight

Their not even on early enough to give any real warning to cross traffic.
There are too many cops in this country with the attitude that the law doesn't apply to them because they are cops, and none of their brethren will hold them accountable either.

What I believe is that if you didn't vote, you have no basis to complain about what your city does...if you did vote, then you know exactly who to complain to...which isn't here... Originally Posted by Wakeup

Note: there is nothing in the above statement that says one way or the other about how I feel about the ordinance. And I don't think Whispers' post was addressing the goodness of the ordinance itself.
One one other thing: the ordinance affects anyone traveling through the city, not just the local citizenry. In other words it affects about 40% of the daily workforce who cannot seek a redress of perceived wrongs through the electoral process.
