I may have to turn in my man card, but...

The Boardroom seems a bit pricey. Keep your man card and be comfortable going where you want. That shows real confidence and you may enjoy the experience.

The Boardroom seems a little pricey compared to what?

I give you that you can find the same general services cheaper, but it is a very different experience... It is not comparing apples to apples...

Using your logic, 95% of the women on this site are a bit pricy... You can get a BJ and a bang from a streetwalker on Harry Hines for $40... But most women on this site provide a much different (i.e. Better) service...

If this is the guys first pedicure, he might want a great experience, not just cheap...
This isn't something i plan on doing regularly. I just wanted to try it out, so i would prefer to pay more for a quality experience (within reason, of course). The boardroom looks like a good option. Thanks.

I am a fan of The Boardroom... It is built for a guy... Get a beer... Shoot pool... They have some cute girls to look at... Pedicures are done in private rooms so you can relax... Perfect place to try out pedicures...

All this talk about a pedicure and I decided to go. I went to one near me I didn't know was there and enjoyed a lovely pedicure, hot wax, and manicure by a tiny sweet Vietnamese girl for $30. The Boardroom wants $120 for the same thing.

I didn't get a drink (I don't drink) but I'm sure you could BYOB if you wanted.

So I say the Boardroom is a bit pricey compared to a neighborhood nail spa.

I'm not sure what the going rate for pedicures are, but for manicures I usually spend $12-$15 or so and give a $5 tip. I asked a girl at work how much one should tip and she said, "I just give one or two dollars." I think that may be a little low! I know some of these girls work their butts off!

OldGrump, you need to check it out again... $120 - not true... For $120 you will be in there for over 2 hours and get a hell of a lot more than a pedicure...

Foot Grooming (a pedicure) at The Boardroom is $55... I have a package I purchsed from them and pay much less... About $42 per service... I am good with the extra $12, compared with the elevated legal of service that I get...

Again, pricey compared to what?

You can go cheap if you want to, but I am fine paying a few more bucks to get the service that I want...

Generic, I just glanced at their website to get that price. I did check back and see that their Classic Package is $140 and includes a manicure, pedicure and facial.

I wouldn't say what I got was going cheap. Just a lot less expensive.

I got a pedicure with nail and cuticle treatment, foot scrub, hot wax, PLUS a manicure, an offer of any color polish I wanted, and a great leg and arm massage. It took about an hour. The price was $30 and I tipped $10. I had a facial earlier with a haircut scalp massage and shampoo that set me back $20 + $20 tip. So I was out $80 for 1 1/2 hours of pampering. Still $60 less than the Boardroom.

If I wanted to pay Boardroom prices, I'd just do it twice.

I don't mean to slight the Boardroom. I've never been there and they apparently have a nice customer base and business plan. I just don't think the differences are worth twice as much - but that is JMHO..

And I feel just as manly as if I'd gone to a male only place. I even had a bit of fun with another customer. She was talking loudly and echoing off the walls. There is no way it was private. When she came near to wash her hands, I commented on something she said. She looked at me like I had stuck my hand up her panties.

Ladies, did I commit a faux pas?

I have been to nail salons and The Boardroom... They are very different experiences... I still go to both, but prefer The Boardroom...

At The Boardroom, I can get every service that you did and a haircut for $120... All in a very quiet, relaxing environment and by a very cute Blonde Girl who is also a Dallas Stars Ice Girl...

The price difference is not as much as you claim, when comparing the same services, so it comes down to what you prefer...

It seems strange that you are offering opinions on two things and you have never experienced one of them...

I have not been to the Boardroom but I have been to similar places designed for males. One does not have to experience all of them to have an opinion on their offerings.

I'm happy with where I go and you are happy mixing it up. Ain't life great?

Happy polishing (all 21 body parts commonly buffed).
