WTF Green Dot?

there is a lot of pressure on the folks to shut down the 'money laundering' and other 'ilicit' uses of these types of trading vehicles. Primarily, they dont like anonymous transactions that cant be taxed.

Cant use cash, cant use bitcoin, now ******** is dying. What's a hobbyist to do? Next thing we'll hae to send 1099's after each visit.

So, do you all figure the re-loadable cards will go away? Or, will they end up being re-loadable and require you to have the card in-hand?

But now, if you're with Chase? They don't allow you to use your funds from your checking account to pay for backpage ads.

Crazy, isn't it?

If you're using your Netspend card like I did, then you're paying $10-20, if not more, per month in just THOSE charges and we're not speaking of the load on fees.

Netspend is a good option, if you need it. I loved having mine.

Just thinking back, I spent a lot of money for nothing.

Take care,

I had a NETSPEND card for years...but a few months back they shut me down. They picked up on my Hotel stays combined with Back Page advertising and assumed I was doing something Illegal...So I'm blocked from ever having another Net spend card. Also blocked from getting a refillable VISA/MC with my name on it.

So far...using Walmart BLUEBIRD AMEX...Zero issues. I try not to add too much money on it...in case they freeze it.

The 2 closest Walgreen's to me, Hillcrest & NW Hwy and Forest & Preston no longer have the m-pak cards. You have to have your green dot card and swipe through their register to add money now.

I haven't tried Lowe's or Kroger's.
