Contrary to what some may think Recap actually knows what he is talking about lol. There ARE other means to see UTR women now and I'm not talking about Craigs List. I've personally used a site called What's Your Price. There have been lots of postings on USASG on it so it seems alot of guys are trying it out. I've personally had great success with it and I've never paid over $150 and that wasn't for a date either (no time limit). The ones for dates I've generally been $50 and even a few of those ended happily. Not too bad lol especially considering some of these girls have had complaints from guys on USASG that they don't put out. I beg to differ on that lol. It's very YMMV so for many its probably a waste of money. I've still seen girls like Country Girl Pamela (who is freaking awesome btw) because sometimes a provider can offer something more. There is no need to "maintain" any sort of FWB type relationship. WYP is potentially more dangerous because feelings can be involved. They aren't providers. But no time limits is definitely nice. I always leave because I have to which is generally after a few hours anyway. Just nice not having to pay 400-500 bucks for it lol.

Aces, you attribute way too much power to Recap and the other board. I do agree that some providers, and maybe including Dallas, don't get much interest from that board. One provider I know tried several times, including offering specials of 50 off her regular rate for an incredible gfe date and still hardly had any interest from that board and the interest she did get was from guys she'd already seen who just wanted to take advantage of the specials. It is what it is and she moved on because she wasn't going change her screening, lower her rate anymore, or kiss anyone's ass to be a favorite so she stopped advertising there.

I think RTP can have an effect on providers' business and if they become a local "favorite" then its 5218 members as of 2-6-15, many of whom aren't even active and only around 200 have 20 or more posts, can make their presence felt to a degree and have an impact but its not the be all and end all. There are providers in St. Louis who do quite well with just an Eros ad and some good reviews on here and TER, then there are some who do quite well with just BP and ECCIE and TER reviews. And lets not forget about P411. How many thousands of guys look at Eros, P411, BP, Eccie, and TER and don't know or care about RTP? I'd venture more than some of you all realize.

This will probably piss a lot of St. Louisians off but oh well... The St. Louis hobby scene is in decline because St. Louis is in decline. Ferguson was just a negative blurp on an already down trending situation. St. Louis is no longer a major national metropolitan destination city, its just a regional city on a downward spiral. Crime is increasing and increasingly spreading out of the ghetto. Now its looking like you'll probably lose your football team as well. You have an "international" airport that is basically what half empty, and is no longer a major air hub for any of the main airlines. Some have argued that the lose of TWA signaled the start of your downward trend. Then there was the Inbev deal which brought on a blood letting that impacted not only AB employees but also many of the local suppliers and service companies that built there business around supplying needed things and services to AB. Those are just a few examples. Also while St. Louis still gets many business travelers, the lose of the air hub and the local economic decline has reduced the number significantly and many of those business travelers don't have the money to spend like they used to either. I would argue that the above and other related factors have had a much bigger impact on the hobby scene than any action by Recap and any other board.

On a side note, I do agree with Crowley that WYP has some interesting potential and possibilities. The thing is many guys chose to see professional escorts to minimize the hassle and drama of getting sex. You see an escort that you want to meet, you review her screening guidelines, send her your screening info or do a P411 request, finalize the details and you're set. In my experience on the whole, the "hassle" and "flake" factor with WYP is much higher than that. The same could also be said for my experience with "BP" girls a higher hassle and flake factor than I really want to deal with.

People moved from the city to the original collar suburbs, from the original collar suburbs out to suburbs farther west and now from those out to far west county and into St. Charles County. Aces, the place isn't perfect but it is not hell either. I'm not a "wheel" there either. You don't even have the membership fee right, it is $50 a YEAR. If you want to expound on the problems you feel are caused by that board, go for it, though I have a feeling the mods here may not care to see the old RTP arguments again.

I've watched the Saint Louis scene for nearly 20 years now. As it is now, it almost always has been. But, I've also hobbied all over the country. This has always been a slow town compared to Chicago, DC, Atlanta or the entire state of Texas. For example, Dallas routinely will have several hundred P411 listings on any given day, and 90% have logged on in the last 48 hours.
Like elsewhere, however, the local boards ....such as they are...tended to be dominated by one or two dominant personalities on the male side of the house. Be careful gentlemen if you are one of them. In DC, one found himself outed by a vengeful provider who felt he'd ruined her reputation.
My impression is Saint Louis is dominated by the "new girl" effect. Someone gets started, or tours here for the first time, and every swinging dick goes and sees her. Subsequent tours see a steady trailing off of business (even with stellar reviews) and eventually that provider stops touring here. That gets reinforced by the relatively small hobbyist base here with disposable income. Locals struggle mightily after that initial wave sets false expectations of what business will be like. Then the price pressure kicks in a vain attempt to make up the lost earnings with volume.

The same is true with the limited hobby base and limited disposable income to hobby with. Seems to me that's what's pretty much killing the hobby in Memphis recently. And I'm sure things are only going to get worse, rather than better.
