I have att uverse at work and when the techs hooked it up, they said the speed would be 18m down. While he was here I had him watch a speed test like the one above and the best was 7m down. he told me that the speed slows down the more computers you have hooked to the network. I think he bullshitted me. When I'm the only one working, the speed never gets above 7m. I have google fiber at home and it is the cheap 5m service and when I test it, it comes in at almost exactly 5m.

I am currently getting days betteen 1.5up and 10up and down is 3 and 0.7
all within "range" says Clear internet
so it's not bad,
do you use netflex/stream movies with your 5M down? how is it?
I usually have less than 5 and I can stream alright

Im not within range of TW and ATT (with whom I have basic cable at $55/month) is just shitty in terms of servivce and yeah, he lied to you, unless the computers are hooked up, but not being used, still I thought be hooked up took away bandwidth and slowed you down
heck nevermind, Im getting 1000mbps when I can

Compared to ya'll, at ~3down and 1.5 up, I have a slow internet, (granted it gets as high as 10.5down and 8 up all on wi-fi, but it's not consistent but it works for $30-$45/month.

Im looking forward to have gigabit+tv, I'll save the tivo monthly fees($15), internet fees($45) and comcast cable fees($30-45)
so I'll end up paying a lil bit more,. but over 10x-100x faster is well worth it
plus my tivo can only record 2 shows at once! but I do love the Tivo DVR set up, I hated ATT and hated dish,
Im not within TM area

Time warner has horrible customer service. I dropped them for ATT. Stay away from time warner. When something goes wrong you are fucked. Read closely the agreement TW makes u sign. Congress has tried to pass laws to protect consumers from time Warners ridiculous contracts.

They have a center(according to google) 5 miles from my home, yet I am not able to get service from them. They told to use Comcast, whom I already don't like.....
but even at these speeds

I'll stick with CLear rather than go back to Comcast... I just didnt have a good experience with them and while not always fast, it's enough to stream and do what I do online

I thought Netflix would be similar to using a DVR, just that fast.
it's not, but it is really close
one nice thing about GF, is when the tech didnt show up on wednesday to install, I contacted them and he came the next day and took $50 off my 1st months price.
So $70/month is more than 2x what I paid for with ATT, but it is >5x faster
and when I say 5x faster, I mean ATT hardline vs Google fiber wifi
I use wifi on my computer since I dont like my computer plugged into the internet constantly(remember the webcame blackmailing?) so I unplug my wif-usb adapter when I get offline.
Initially I was hardined into the GOOGLE FIBER, it was a litle bit faster
since I don game online, i dont really notice a difference
but I dont want to mislead you guys
These are the results from being plugged into GF, the results in t he 1st post are just wifi
WIFI
