Turn out the lights, the parties over.....

For all of us that are old enough to remember Dandy Don and his antics while playing the game, and announcing the game, I say may he rest in peace.

The funniest I ever saw him was way back when 19 year old Dorothy Hamill had just won the Olympic Skating Gold. She paid a visit to the guys in the Monday Night Game Press Box, and ole Don, (I think he might have had a few), just kept saying, "you are SOOOO cute".

He was a character.
I am another one who was never a Cowboys fan but Dandy Don was great in the Monday night booth. If I am not mistaken, he was the one who commented about the cameraman's cutaway to a Houston Oiler fan in the crowd. The Oilers were losing to the Raiders by a huge margin and it was late in the 4th quarter. The Oiler fan shot the finger to the camera for all of the world to see. Dandy Don, always quick with the one liner said, "Now there is a true Oiler fan. He still believes his team is #1."

Classic!!!!!
