Pre-paid credit card

I've only been to one Walgreens that asked for ID and they were entering into the computer.

I go to a Walgreens that doesn't ask for ID. It varies from location to location.

I recently bought a "Green Dot" visa card at Dollar General. They charged at small fee and didn't ask for ID there but to activate it I had to provide info and they were going to charge a monthly fee. After to money was transfer to me party I went back and cancelled the card. Yes, it was a reloadable card as they didn't have the "Gift Cards".

I have never been asked for an id at walgreens. I wonder why some ask and some don't.
