Sadly OSD, you will start to see when more ladies chime in, that references really can't be defined.

There are girls that will take bp, CL (when it was around) and cityvibe as references, and there are others that don't use them. Personally for my self, only a hand full reply back and understand the safety behind screening! Some girls only want in the area references where as others will take an out of state girl. Most providers want 2 solid references, some don't even screen! Yikes!! I know scary! Some girls even go based on reviews that guys write....(what you mean some of them can be fake/never happend or pretend to be another gent).

On top of all of this, there are a handfull of guys who play mind games. Or email games as I call it. They email you a few times in a row asking questions but never giving out references, a few weeks/months later they email you back wanting to set up, hoping you forgot that you never screened them!!

Us girls just basically have to be on our A game at all times. And consultantguy, I am sure if you contact my self or any other fine lady from upstate ny, and want to set up, if you don't give us the information we need, or give us a little too much, we will politely tell you what you should or should not of done. So that leads to what to give. mmmmmm ok Ask before you use as a reference. And when you give one give just the name. And if you girls need more information on another provider, You could ask. How would that work? I know it it would be another PM, email, txt, call. As we want to contact providers as you wish. But then that would only in a way to give each a feel as to the other. As in email games. A NoNo that I am sure one could see from another with the more 1 on 1 contact. Just like in a bar the more each talk. The more one have a idea if the others is BS'ing you.

And so far as to "who" is the same also. So mmmmm let see just give the names you have. And If the provider you want to see will not take what you have. Say THANK YOU FOR YOU TIME. And we would have to try another. And not get pissie(sprlling ?) about it. It just the way it is.

On ASPD I wanted to see one provider. I PM'ed her with the information of what I had. She PM'ed back nope, with the reason for each. And gave me what would be ok. I keeped my cool and she became a good PM buddy. So in time I did get what I needed. But never used it. But then I never pissed her off ether. So if I still want to see her I could. But now the references may be to old. and that is just the way it is.

So its not the same for each provider, as to references. Same for the screening. Screening is defined defined by many providers. You will find out what is ok as to what reference is as you go back and fourth with her. and do not get pissed off if she says NO.

Remember I was All AC when first joined ASPD. I do not agree with providers all the time. And yet I found a way, when I was trying to meet providers on that old board. I see this board the same. When I am ready it may be work. But I will find a way to see some of them. And providers from the AC are not a good reference. And most other providers will not one as a reference. As most there now are mmmmm I can not think of a nice way to say it. And the very few from the past that would have been good, they have know to know them at all.

Oh and on another note january 14 is not far away. Any provider that would like a drink with me may. You may also want to bring a hobbyest with you for safety. It makes the old timers that remember a long gone better day smile. And drives the cheap street players nuts and piss's them off. Both good.

Is it safe to say this is the steps to follow for references.

1) Name of provider.
2) email of provider.
3) phone number of provider if applicable.
4) last date seen provider.
5) If need two send two I would send two no matter what.
6) Would this clear this up ladies.
7) And your phone number.

If your reference doesn't use email, which a few girls are like that, than yes you would need to contact your reference first, make sure its okay and then give out her information to myself. But fyi, I don't normally take BP as a reference as a handful only ever respond back. More than half, you'll get nothing, nadda, zipp.

And to add a little side note, many gents use a girl as a reference, and then when contacted they have NO CLUE who you are. I would say its best to always send a friendly, Hello and btw I am going to give your name as a reference to Brooke so she can contact you. Some guys don't hobby much and simply, we just forget you after a few months... (yes our memory isn't that great where hundreds of days can pass and we can still remember you). And it will save on the emails back and forth with me and the reference and me and the voucher needing more information.

I'll be watching to see if anyone can find that perfect solution. In the meantime, my $$ ends up not going to my 1st choices here at ECCIE, but to BP ladies.

Actually Brooke, you and I have PM’d previously and you did set me straight as to your reference requirements (I am good with that). My previous point however, is it would have been easy for me to make a naïve mistake by not truly knowing the finer points of the hobbyist/provider understanding. I am sure I am not the only feeling this way.

Fortunately to date, I don’t believe I have made a mistake – although as the saying goes – you don’t know what you don’t know.

I have very simple references rules.

1) I do NOT want to know anything about another girls encounters with potential patron unless it is something that may present me into potential danger. So if there is nothing NEGATIVE then all I need is "Yes I confirm that he says truth"

2) I only will accept references from reviewed indies with websites.

3) When contacting for references i will do that via email including my website and review links. If it is urgent i will follow up with phone call asking to check email and verify.

mwebber Well GP gave you the answer. The way the game was played where I came from I guy wanting to meet a provider would ask other guys and other providers. If he went for it. The provider would ask guys she trusted and other providers. Many times the same set of guys and providers. Here it does and will happen. But very very little. Less than 1%. And why, well the girls will not tell another guy what a guy was like. So as GP stated we have no way to give a good answer.

So where I came from guy given the story on another guy to provider worked. It does not work here as I do not know you. I can not see how she acted after the date. And if I ask a provider here what a guy was like. Most of the time she will tell me off. Where at a bar she would tell the few guys and providers the story.

So from 2007 to 2010 I have only been asked two times. Once a guy asked me about using me to meet a provider. And once a provider asked me about a guy.
But as I do not know you I have no answer. And no one is going to ask me. On this board I only know and have met 6 guys, and 4 girls. At the AC I know 60% of the guys, 98% of the girls and the games both play. Add in all the lurkers to this board mostly male. Well what can say, what would you want me to say.

Now here the only ones that know a high % of guys. Are the pool of providers. So who are the providers going to ask. the other providers.

I think the providers so far have all given very good answers. I beleive many of the guys are not reading carefully what the providers are saying. In this and other thread, websites, showcase, etc. It all there for the reading.

2089 posts on eccie and counting. High count on the old board. And still in the top ten on another board. So the fact I am a post provider, does not mean I can give a good or bad word about anyone I do not know.

If I read your reply correctly, you will need to have a "local" reference and not a "out state" reference. OK, but some of us are new to the area. We rely on this board for safety as well as recommendation of local providers. I, like Consultantguy, have little time to set up sessions and accordingly peruse this board and HOPE that the references from other gentlemen are correct and HOPE that the provider will set up a session with us. For me, it is literally impossible to set up with more than 24 hours notice.
Take for example last week in Buffalo. I attempted to contact every "reputable" provider and was literally shunned by every provider saving one. She happened to be in Rochester and couldn't make it back before I had to leave. So I have to go to Rochester and lo and behold - no response from 4 providers in Rochester when I tried to schedule with advance warning.

2. Your name and number.
3. Where (not EXACT location, city/area) you met her.
4. How she would remember you.

Many guys do not hobby often so an easy jump start in the memory is better than the back and forth embarrassment. We need to see the number/name and e-mail in our records as well. . .
